ARG!!! THE HORROR!!!

Is it just me, or does Hasbro seem waaaaaay to confidant now about their four packs? Just because Lois, Commish and Talia sold well, now they think they can throw us repainted (and missing the material cloak!!!) Penguins and growth-stunted Ventriloquists!?!!? I don't think so!

Hasbro..you're pushing it! I don't intend to get either this pack or the Ventriloquist pack! If you are going to put me through all the trouble of trying to hunt down an American TRU exclusive four pack, and then have me pay double the price...at least make it worth my while.

I had such high hopes after getting both a new Ras and a Talia in one pack. But I guess now they have to make up for it with NOTHING new here. That is just awful. BOOOOO!!!

Oh jeeze I just noticed that they even gave Robin that stupid gun that nobody is meant to hold... you know the one that Batgirl and Ras came with... I hate that thing. The only reason I'll buy this one is if I can come up with any worthwhile custom ideas.

Why were people expecting a new Penguin sculpt? It was never confirmed. Hasbro has released an all repaint 4-pack before, most recently with the Arkham Asylum Escape pack. Hasbro released this one because the original Penguin is considered rare and it'll give those who missed it the first time a chance to play catch up.

..that would make sense....if they packged Penguin the same way he was before. Now they are cutting back on the costs of material (remember his awesome cloak?), as well as the cost of a decent accessory (where on earth did they find that umbrella?)...and to further the riots sure to erupt after news of this abhorent pack spread out, Penguin isn't even painted right!

Why they even bothered with this one is beyond me. Maybe they are trying to recoup the losses they suffered as a result of having to make Talia from scratch...

In any case, this pack has no redeeming qualities. It's fit - for the pit!

Worst four pack ever!!

What's with that Batman? He looks oddly enough like one of those figures I've never ever thought about picking up. Then there's Robin. Other than the fact that Dick Grayson hasn't been Robin anywhere for years it's time to retire him.

Catwoman and Penguin look oddly the same. Why couldn't they at least paint the cat suit black and give her a white face? I've already got her in the black suit from the Rogue's Gallery.

As hard as it is for me to say it, I doubt I'll pick this one up at all. I am thinking about just one but I don't know. I can't do it. I can't see me taking this to the check out counter.

Well I guess I won't be getting this one! I don't have TAS Penguin but that doesn't change my mind at all! (Although at the risk of wrecking this rant I am happy to see Penguin doesn't have some lame umbrella launcher) This four-pack was set to change my mind on buying action figures and with one swoop of a the blue paint brush, Hasbro has lost me as a returning customer.
This 4-pack was going to be a new start for me (and my wallet) but now I'll just go buy some more videogames instead! :mad:

If they released Penguin exactly the same as before it'll just make the original worthless, leaving even more collectors crying for blood (except the lucky few who have em MOC). Hence the need for the differences. I for one kinda dig the gimmickless umbrella.

The umbrella looks chunky. Almost as if they took it from another toy line. I wouldn't mind Pengy's blue tie if he wasn't under-dressed. The "new" Penguin looks terrible without his jacket.

Why, oh why Hasbro? I was really hoping for a new Penguin sculpt, or at least a decent color scheme (they picked the worst colors!) At least re-paint him like the TNBA version...or at least give him the great cloak that the original had...oh well--I've got the original Penguin figure, and that's good enough for me. Maybe, just maybe I'll buy this one for customizing the figures...but I doubt it. Although, unlike most, I'm looking forward to the Ventriloquist figure...unless they magically screw that one up, too........ :mad:

By all means, get it if you don't already have it! But, yah, this is a low blow to the rest of us collectors who have been there from the start. Still, I can't wait to find Talia, Supergirl, Alfred, Lois, Bizarro, Metallo and the ShadowCast Batcave.

God this is really dissapointing. I was so excited for a TNBA Penguin, and they give us the BTAS, and missing his cloak. Still, I'll probobly buy it cause I need a Catwoman and a Dick Grayson Robin for my collection.

..actually, I got the Super Powers Penguin to which you refer at Christmas some years ago. The umbrella was yellow with alternating blue and red patches, and it could be launched like a spring loaded weapon from the handle of the umbrella. That out-of-place balck one the "new" Penguin seems to come with isn't that Super Powers one.

Oh, and don't worry....I don't think you needed to put that in a spoiler box :rolleyes:

That also suprises me.

Anyway if no one has done it yet, Welcome Robin! We hope you stay a while and read the rules (http://forums.toonzone.net/misc.php?s=&action=showrules) if you haven't yet.

Back on topic: Robin, I'm pretty sure I have the Penguin you are referring to and I don't think it is exactly the same umbrella. The biggest problem I see when I compare it is that the handle is way to thick. Granted it doesn't look like it was even made for this Penguin's hand, so I don't know where it came from.

Went to TRU today looking for Count Dooku (Star Wars) and dint find him. Did find the Shadows of Gotham 4-pack though and picked it up. I'm in south western Pennsylvania.
