I was just curious, but were there ever any blackfaces in the Woody cartunes?

I don't think Woody has never appeared in blackface in his entire cartoon career from what I can think of.

but I think there are actually many characters that never appeared in blackface, from all different studios.

In contrast, Daffy appeared in blackface almost all the time. :)

At the end of Loose Nut, after the bomb explodes, while Woody simply had his feathers blown off, his nemises the cement guy, is in blackface.

There is also a Woody cartoon in which his opponent, Buzz Buzzard, MAY have been in blackface.

The scene I'm referring to occurs in "Scalp Treatment" and I fear the copy I have may be edited. Anyway, Buzz tries to capture Woody via a motor boat but his engine won't start. He looks at it closer to see what's wrong with it... BOOM!! ... It backfires in his face! After the backfire occurs, we see that Buzz is clearly in blackface (with white lips yet!) with a dumb expression on his face but he doesn't exhibit any of the usual cartoon stereotypical blackface traits (like in "Garden Gopher" when Spike goes from running furiously to shambling slowly). He then shakes his head removing the soot. Was something cut?

Actually, there really is a Daffy Duck blackface scene!

See, Daffy gets shot in the face (no, it's not one of the "Hunting Trilogy" films..), and winds up in blackface. But there's a problem.

Daffy is already black.

The only indication that he's in blackface is that after he gets shot, he suddenly sprouts a picaninny hairdo. Um... yeah..

Maybe if I shoot myself in the face, I'll instantly sprout cornrows!
That way, I won't have to sit in between someone's legs for hours on end gettin' my hair braided. But--- will it work?

It's worht a shot. >.<

Though I belive the cartoon in question has already been edited.
