These morons who ride their bike on the street in traffic when there is a side walk 2 inches to the right. Then when someone hits them because there is no room to get around they wonder what happened.

--the phantom nickel. You know when you run out of stamps, so you tape 34 cents to the envelope and slip it in the box...and then mysteriously a coin disappears and leaves only 29 cents, so the mail carrier doesn't pick up your letter for insufficient postage? Where in the devil does the phantom nickel go? It's not in the mailbox...not in the bedroom...nowhere. Little bugger drives you mad....

I hate it when I'm riding my bike and some lunatic hits me with their car, so my bike flips really high and I land right in one of those big mailboxes and I have all this change stuck to my face when they pull me out.

And they're on the road because bicycles are technically a vehicle and as such they're suppose to be on the road. Riding a bicycle on the sidewalk is legally the same thing driving you're car on the sidewalk. Of course no cop (unless they've had a really, REALLY bad day) is going to give you a ticket for riding you're bike on the sidewalk.

Hmm... I've never actually ever taped change to a letter if I was out of stamps...

I hate the way they keep raising the price of stamps. I don't care how much they cost, raise the price by a dime if you want, but pick a price and stick with it!

Mr. Obsession

Get ready to get mad. :p They're raising the price again this summer, by 2 cents I believe. But they don't plan on any price changes for at least two years...

SUVs in the city. NO need for them in the city, they're just plain annoying, especially with their bright beams. And speaking of headlights, what's up with those colored covers for them? don't mind the blue, but the white one??! those things are BRIGHT and hurts my eyes =(

2) I hate anyone who rides a bicycle on a narrow, twisty road with no sidewalk or shoulder. They are asking to be killed. 1) I really hate teachers who think it is fun to give out as much schoolwork as possible.

I read that post earlier and completely disagree. Also, if they have the right to ride there, they should go the speed limit. Don't say the speed limit is only for cars, because how do you think the car drivers feel?

Well i get annoyed by many things....

-SUVs in the city
-people who ride bikes on the road when sidewalks and bike trails are available for them.
-Soccermoms
-People who wear WWJD necklaces, bracelets, etc. ($20 bucks says jesus would never wear a WWJD t-shirt)
-people who take children to rated-r movies and sit right behind me
-people who think golfing is a sport
-flies, gnats, ticks, fleas and any other bug that won't leave me alone. I'd like to be a buddhist who respects these creatres, but they won't go away.
-pollen, specifically tree pollen.
-george bush
-the people who are only putting two episodes of flcl on each dvd. there's only six episodes, why couldn't they just have left it at 2 dvds??

Thats all I can think of for now...

Perhaps the cyclists should ride on the sidewalk and the pedestrians could somehow "hover". That way everyone would be happy .

i wear WWJD stuff on occasion. i even made myself a WWJJD shirt, What Would Joan Jett Do?

what irritates me is the lowriders where the wheels poke out. the poor car looks like a roller skate!

You can tape money on to letters and they will take it?

Bikes should be on sidewalks and away from motorized traffic. Have you ever noticed the signs before getting onto the highway, free way, or innerstate?

JTurner954
05-01-2002, 12:37 AM
Aw cmon. Why do you think they have bike paths on the road? It's called a sidewalk (WALK), not a sidebikeride. If you read a bike book, it will show statisics that more bike accidents happen when riding on the sidewalk.

I don't like when people do something popular that they don't like just because they are trying to "fit in" with a group of people.

BLACKHEART

Well if the sidewalk is too much trouble may I suggest getting a moutain bike and trying the grass?

Actually scratch this. I hate people running on the street more. I see people doing this all the time just like people on bikes when there is a sidewalk right beside them.

I find it more annoying when they do it at night cause I could be driving and this people are in total darkness on the street, I mean geez do they want someone to hit them.

You know what I really hate: people complaining about other people who are following the law and riding a bicycle on the road where it's suppose to be, and said complainers are complaining because they're just too impatient to wait for traffic to permit it so that they can pass said person on a bicycle.

Those people irk me to no end. :p

You can tape money on to letters and they will take it?
Yes. But anything over the price of a single stamp, as I just learned last Saturday when I taped four dollar bills to a manuscript, they ask you to put in a small seperate envelope. Presumably it's the same deal with checks.
Another thing that bothers me? Catfish with bones. Those things are like needles, and dangerous if swallowed. For the love of Liz Taylor, please debone my fish before you serve it to me. Dang if some places don't even remove the heads...that's a pleasant sight, having your dinner look at you....

Don't even get me started one these idiots doing this at night. There's nothing like driving down a road in the dark and all of a sudden some idiot jogger pops up infront of you. Then there's those pesky bike riders.

BourgeoisBuffoon
05-01-2002, 03:53 PM
*is the kind of jogger SLIPKNOT said* Um....for me, I tend to get in the way of people using the sidewalks, which is why I run right on the street. As you can see, we runners can't win. :p

I personally find people who keep on talking and talking when they should shut up to be annoying. My school is full of examples like this....it's embarrasing seeing them make fools out of themselves.

I also hate skinny people *all girls are ones I've seen, but I'll be fair and say there are some guys around*who complain of their giantic stomach or thier massive weight when, in reality, they could use a couple pounds. -_-

What I really, really hate, are people who let intimidation from jerks and fear take over their lives for whatever reason. Heck I should know, I was(sometimes am on a bad day)one of them.

Hmmm...what else...

little girls dressing up like whores (curse you Britney!)
perverted teachers
Sugar pop music
reality TV
over the top protesting
small shoes
mean sales clerks
people who steal your garbage/recycling bins(happened last wk!)
noisy neighbors
drunk neighbors
drugged neighbors
neighbors starting fires with their joints
neighbors that think they can get away with using your lawn.
uh...neighbors! :D

*Hee-hee, I can ride my bike anywhere in my neighborhood, sidewalks, roads, unsuspecting children...*

I'll think of more later...I just need to go outside...

I hate streets/roads where there are no bike-trails or sidewalk to ride your bike on and you are forced to ride in the street and get hit by insane soccermoms in SUVs who wear too small shoes and have bad breath from licking too many of those stamps that are way too expensive!!! I do hate that indeed!

PS: it's been a long time since you rode your Mountain bike in the grass? It's not as pleasant as you think it is just because you got a mountain bike, ya know...

People whose success has come from fortune rather than skill or hard work.

'Fraid I hate cyclists - I appreciate it's the law, but the danger to themselves on the road to me out ways the risk of accident on the pavement.

Motorcyclists. In the UK, they can cut through queues of cars and as such appear from nowhere. Again, they are a danger to themselves and others. Somehow the law seems to turn a blind eye to their escapades.

The gossiping, backstabbing, cattiness, secret alliances, snootiness and the rest of the social BS of high school. I thought that stuff belongs in middle school, or at least minimized, but people are still concerned with the same trivial things. I've come to the point where I'm sick of high school. End already, dang it!

BLACKHEART

That sums high school up.

Just look at Ozzy's kids. They have everything handed to them and they act obnoxious. They have an attitude that they are cooler and better than everyone else. When without Ozzy's money or fame they would be nothing. His son Jack would be getting his butt kicked everyday if he acted like that without money or Ozzy.

I also agree 100%. In fact, I agree with all of you guys....

But, one thing that really bugs me: At the times when you have to be very quiet and stealthy (not sure if word), it never fails that you are extremely load and clumsy. When I have to sneak around unnoticed, my back makes a load crack, I have a coughing fit, I sneeze, I fall, I stub my toe, I break something, I drop things, I step on something that cracks......everything that ruins my plans  . Exactly what Nightflower said; it's one of the worst experiences a person can have with the social groups. I'm lucky I seem to get along with everyone, but I've had to face up to rich boys and girls before-their egos really do make you want to punch them in the face.

Heck, just recently one spoiled girl was discovered cheating to get into the National Honor Society at school...and yet the school was pretty much bought off. THAT is one thing that cheeses me off most about school politics-that it affects the faculty and administration too.

I have something to add that I HATE. At work, the IT department decided that employees were getting on sites that were inappropriate (which boggles my mind, because if you tried to access anything remotely inappropriate, it was blocked) and decided to take the Internet off everybody's computers, even in the teller office where it SHOULD be on and I would get on Toon Zone during my lunch breaks. It sucks because it severely cuts back on the time I am able to access the boards.

Inappropriate sites. Yeah, a site about WB cartoons is inappropriate.

And it isn't just middle or high school, Nightflower. College has its cliques as well, from the frat boys/sorority girls to that group of undesirables who plays poker in the TV lounge on Fridays and Saturdays and stinks up the TV lounge with their cigars despite the numerous posted NO SMOKING warnings. And then there's the real world and its socioeconomic strata to alienate people...nothing like calling a girl for a date and having her father actually tell you he has no daughter becasue you're lower-class and not worthy to be with his little girl. Fathers like that should be stalked and taught a lesson (non-lethal, mind you, but painful and embarrassing)....
