Although edits don't usually bother me, I think Goofy Groceries is much better on the Bob Clampett Show.
Love Me, Love My Mouse is a very annoying late Tom & Jerry cartoon.
Fresh Airedale is NOT rare. Where did that idea come from?

Obviously it is better on the Bob Clampett show, because the film is shown unedited! That's called, "we want the whole cartoon...or else" theory. My oh my...that'll give people some "tattletale gray" hairs (hares)!

"Goofy Groceries"
Loved the celebrity cariacatures, esp. "Jack Bunny" (but I'm irked about them cutting what I'm sure was a blackface Rochester gag at the end!) and the whiny voiced crab (I've seen that caricature in "Hollywood Steps Out" too--"Are you boys having a good time?"). Watch for Superman to make an appearance. I was laughing all through this short.
"Love Me, Love My Mouse" (MGM)
Now I've seen a dog mother a kitten a time or two...but a cat mother a mouse? I loved the ending, in which Jerrys "mother" starts kissing him and realizes he tastes pretty good, then tries to eat him.
"Fresh Airedale"
I can see the middle fingers of cat lovers all over America blooming like night-growing flowers in he direction of their TV screens upon viewing this one. The dog acts like a total s.o.b. in this one and is treated as a hero, yet the cat--one of the rare noble felines in the cartoon world--is treated like garbage. Sort of a hard one to like, as it seems to reward vile, selfish behavior.
"The Cuckoo Clock" (MGM)
Another Avery classic. Shades of Poe's "The Raven", as well as Avery's own "Symphony in Slang" ("I was going to pieces!...I couldn't keep anything on my stomach!")
"The Mighty Hunters"
This one was a hoot! Fav scene: while the little braves are dangling over the cliff edge, one loses his pants and his bare bum is exposed! Also, those Indian girls playing the drums were adorable.
