Which Saturday Night variety show do you prefer?

Which one do you like better? Mad TV or Saturday Night Live?

Me, personally, I like Mad TV much better. It has way funnier skits, and I guess more "in your face" if you wanna say. Plus, SNL hasn't been that great lately. Granted, I don't watch it much, but when I do, it just hasn't been that funny. In my opinion at least.

I don't get why people still like SNL. It used to be good, but the show has been going downhill for a while. I prefer MADtv, but not because of the skits. I just like certain characters and especially some of the actors.

My favourite is Will Sasso. His impressions of Fred Durst, Schwarzenegger and Robert De Niro are just outright hilarious.

Weekend Update is the only good thing on SNL, but those kind of jokes are done better by Conan, and he does them everyday (almost)!

I love SNL, You hve to Jimmy Fallon is hot. :D I never liked Mad Tv much, I think their comendy isn't as funny.

SNL by far. The only things I like about MADtv are Will Sasso and WWF guest stars. I often feel that the last half hour of SNL goes downhill more often than not, and the times I see MADtv it seems to be all from the SNL "Last Half Hour"

SNL has been going downhill for years, thanks to daily news on Comedy Central, I have no need for SNL's weekend update, and thus have no need for SNL. Its just not funny anymore, I wonder where they get their "comedians" from.

I tried watching MadTV a few years ago. I'm usually pretty liberal about what I think is and isn't funny. MadTV was not funny, it was just vile and offensive. There were several skits that today make me think the Farrely Brothers have some involvement in that show.

Thanks to ASA I get to watch something I like on saturdays.

I just had to vote for Mad TV. Saturday Night Live is on too late as it is, so I usually don't watch the whole thing. Mad TV drew me in with some of it's incredibly funny characters (Ms. Swan), skits (the disfunctional family with the two twin girls) and parodies of music videos (including Shakira and Britney). Sure, this is generally trash tv, and I don't watch it religiously, but it has been really funny from time to time. SNL just comes off as lame...

I mean, the show depends on a celebrity guest-star every week to bring in viewers, the cast of comedians is so large that most of them don't get a chance to strut their stuff, and most of the skits are more bizarre than anything else. I mean how many times can you laugh at seeing The Rock dressed up as a woman or some frat guy caught on camera sniffing his underwear? It wore me out eventually, so now I just watch Mad TV, hoping to see a good roll-on-the-floor-laughing-like-a-hyena skit.

I don't care for either. I USED to be a fan of SNL, but as it's been stated earlier, it's been going downhill for a while now. I've tried to watch MadTV, but it just doesn't bring home the funny for me.

I sometimes watch both be not regularly, SNL isn't as funny as to what it use to be but it does still have those skits especially when the guest make a booboo on it. As for MadTV I only watch it sometimes to see if they show off beat skits like Ms. Swan.
