Drug Use on Pokemon ?

Wow. Today on Pokemon Johto Leauge Champions. Chikorita evolved into BayLeaf and I noticed something. The things around Bay Leafs neck look strangely like rolled up marajuana.

Do you think this was done on purpose or is it just a crazy coincedense ? I had never noticed it in the game but seeing it today made it really obvious.

Chikorita and its kin represent peppers. theres a million things that would have the shape of those leaves. Frankly, it`s a pretty dumb idea.

Oddish and GLOOM, on the other hand, are pretty much supposed to be smokeable pokemon. Theyre both "weed" type (no, i`m not reffering to elemental type. In the games they are "the weed pokemon") oddish`s head looks like marijuana and gloom`s face is all spaced out and its flower vaguely reminiscent of opium. Stuff like that isnt considered offensive in japan. Of course, I don`t find it offensive either. Gloom is both my favorite pokemon and one of my favorite monsters, ever :P

Actually, bay leaves are real...they are used primarily for seasoning, esp. in Italian cooking.

Consider, though, how many Pokemon have hallucinogenic attacts--Stantler's bulbs (similar to certain frogs that seduce an LSD-like jelly that one licks to get high), Chikorita's sweet scent, Ghastly's illusion...or Vileplume and its paralysis attack (beats novicaine). An enterprising Pokemon master could make a mint tapping these secretions and selling them on the black market. To say nothing of Ditto brothels and psychic Pokemon gambling parlors (mind-reader that can see what cards the gamblers hold).

Imagine, if you will, Cheech and Chong as Pokemon trainers..."Hey, man, like, head-butt or something, dude." :p

Of course, there is that thing in the game where you breed any Pokemon with a Ditto, you get that Pokemon. It is like a Ditto is the ultimate breeding machine.

To this day I take pride in knowing I have a Poke-pimpin' Ditto called Frank. Frank is special.

Don't forget the 'Caterpie' fight 'Ash' and the Samurai kid had. 2 boys egging their pokemon to get as hard as possible... :eek:
