According to Cinescape.com Clark Kent won't fly. He may jump a quarter of a mile and use techniques similar to the Matrix. But, no flying. Also, the producer would like to have a young Bruce Wayne make an appearance. He suggested he could have been a boarding school friend of Lex. But, it probably won't happen because of the cost of the rights. He also wants Christopher Reeve make an appearance.
I can see the production meeting now:
"WRITER: "Let's have Clark lift the car and save someone."
"PRODUCER:"No powers remember. Lets have him anguish about seeing the accident and not being able to express his true feelings for Lana. Think Dawson's Creek, NOT Superboy!"
Boy, I hope I am wrong and it will be good

What did the dude mean by saying "he never started out flying." I'm not really an expert on Superman. But I did read the comic where he met Superboy and Superboy started out flying. I think that's even how he found his powers.
does anyone know if this is true? Did superman start out jumping instead of flying?

He discovered his flight abilitiy when he jumped over a gorge. He then took it from there. So they are basing it somewhat right. His super-speed came first, then his flight.

Yeah, it reminds me of "The Last Son of Krypton". Beautifull episodes.
I heard a few days ago that the role for Chris Reeve to play was that of a teacher. But that even being so, I worry about this show. I can't stand Dawson's Creek or ANY SHOW like it!
Buffy reruns were moved to Wednesday nights over here after Dawson. So I'm thinkin, well I'm postin on the boards so I'm sure it won't hurt if I put on the last 15 minutes of Dawson so I'm on time for Buffy. No worries right? WRONG! I couldn't even take five minutes!
I'd get upset and crush one of the pillars in my basement, but instead I'm going to pout and examine my feelings. Aaahhh. Better.

I just wonder if this series is successful and goes on for more than a season or two, if we will see young Clark develop his powers? Will there be an episode where he discovers he can fly?
I thought it was the other way around, that Superboy was not originally part of the Superman mythos.
