I gave it a rating of terrible because it stared a boy band member! (shudders)

anyways, next week's will be better.

blah to you......I was watching Power Rangers Wildforce at the time. I might have watched it if I remembered A.J. from BSB was on that show, but Zen-Aku was just callin my name...

Question 1: Who is A.J.? I know who BSB is, but who is he?

Question 2: When will the "Jimmy " episode be airing? That's the ep I wanted to watch today, but instead I got "Duped" into watching this episode.

He would be considered "the bad boy". When you see them, just look for the one with the facial hair, tattoos, etc. He was the one in rehab this past summer actually.

"Jimmy" airs next Saturday. I missed "Duped" (long, drawn out, pathetic story--short version: it's Rosemont's fault), but "Jimmy" I absolutely HAVE to see. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch "Duped" in reruns.

Note we see a lot of Adam but little of his alter-ego--he hardly even fights Replikon at all, except their brief tussle in the first five minutes at the guitar store. This demonstrates that he's one of the few Babies to not be defined by his powers and to have a life outside of the Rubberband Man. Presumably he'll continue with his music career and, unless his past catches up with him (his brother Ebon, for example), he won't be tempted to backslide....

Also amusing how Stat calls RBM his "sidekick" to A.J....

Personally I didn't know what to expect when I heard AJ was going to be the guest star (funny that they didn't mention Coolio in any of the previews  ) but after watching the episode I would have to say that they did a pretty good job of having him in. I thought that it was a good way to bring him in as a sort of agent for Adam - trying to help him get a career started in the biz - altho I did think that AJ had way to much power with the execs but that's the way it is.

Coolio's character was pretty cool altho he seemed like a common, run of the mill villain in all honesty. If he had been able to give Static more of a fight or if RBM had been given a chance to defeat him I would have given this episode an Awesome! rating but as of right now it gets a good rating as it still was yet another good episode of SS:TAS. Can't wait to see "Jimmy" next week though. Altho, does anyone else think next week would be the perfect time to have a double dose of SS and re-air "Sons of the Fathers?"

I agree - I missed the last couple minutes of the episode because I had a friend tape it for me (I don't get WB). I would love to have the chance to get "Sons of the Fathers" again though as my girlfriend lets me tape off my WB shows every Saturday morning.

That would rock beyond words, mostly because I've never seen "Sons of the Fathers". (And don't get me started on the comments from the local people on Rosemont who have--they're one of the big reasons I'm losing respect for the whole Dini-Timm following.)

Wouldn't it be cool if Static got a DVD?! I would want it to be a DTV movie with a bonus Static ep.

I would love to see Static and Zeta both get their own DTV movies.

I think Static could focus on Virgil having to solve a mystery out of costume by infiltrating a gang of bang babies that have "enlisted" Ritchie to do some of their dirty work. One of the members of the gang could find out about Virgils secret identity through telepathic powers and tell the big boss who then goes after our heroes family. Virgil would then be in the gang leaders pocket and adopt a new identity until he can figure out a way to free his family.

As for Zeta I think a DTV for him would feature a threat that Bennetts troops can't contain. The threat - the re-emergence of a technological virus from the past. The virus infiltrates every machine it touches and causes entire cities to go crazy while threatening the lives of those within specially designed cities that need machines to create fresh oxygen. With Zeta constant use of digital machines he contracts the virus and realizes that he is the only one who can possibly defeat the virus - by battling it on a digital level.

Why? Rather than saying it was just terrible could you explain what you thought was terrible?

I thought it was a good episode. Not great, or on the same level as 'Frozen Out' or 'Sons of the Father', but still enjoyable. I'm surprised that A.J. actually did a good job with the voice acting. Uusally guest actors are pretty bland and monotone, but A.J. did a good job. Discounting the episode as bad becuase a boy band member guest starred is a bad way to judge an episode. I was quick to dismiss it as well, but it was actually enjoyable.

But I can't wait for Jimmy next week, and I really want KWB to repeat last year's season finale, 'Sons of the Father' and 'Frozen Out'.

I could see Static saving her and she kisses him and he braggs to Richie about how she kissed him.

I'm assuming this rating is because of the Backstreet Boy, right? ::sigh:: If it was N'Sync, then I'd be full of unbridled hatred.

Still haven't seen it. Probably won't see it for a while. How long till you think it's rerun?

I watched the rerun of the episode today and I must say - the animation is really good on this episode. There are some really good moments here and there where you can tell Dong Yang was putting everything into it. There was some nice shading on the villian in his human form. Really nice stuff.

--it was fairly good, but not as good as RBM's turn in "Bad Stretch". Probably because he didn't slap around Replikon much, and later was stomped by a horde of giggling BSB-crazed girls--really a step down from whipping both Aquamaria and Ebon. Also, the shapeshifting villain's been around the block a time or two, and you have to wonder about a bad guy who is so lame a girly pop star can defeat him--kicking Rep's butt felt like almost an afterthought. Although I did like the Green Lantern reference (a hero who is weak against wood).
