I saw it earlier in the month, and I can say I'm glad I didn't pay money to see it. Wait for it to be on TV. It had its momentsthe fake robot nipples
the hologram at Crystal lake with the girls who like premarital sex, but it has a serious letdownJason doesn't get upgrading till the last 20 minutes of the movie!
At least it was only 90 minutes long, but buyer beware. I think I won't be going to a flick next week to see Spider Man like everyone else.

This movie looks so incredibly bad that I have to see it! I can't get that song from the trailer out my head (who sings that, BTW). Although after Jason X...where else can they go from here? "Jason In Jupiter"?

The song you're referring to is called "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor" and it's by Drowning Pool. Happy downloading. ;)

The last Jason movie was good - This is pathetic. Just another "hey, easy money!" flick.
That song is pretty cool, even though it's not new. :D

I don't know if it's because I'm just easy to please, but I really liked this movie. Yes, there was a lot to laugh at, some really retarded one liners, and some quite unbelievable things, but all in all, this was a fun movie. The holographic flash back image to 1980's Crystal Lake with the topless girls was just too damn creative. They were spoofing their own movies! How cool is that? Uber Jason actually looked pretty good. I was surprised at that. I'd say about 85% of the movie we got to see Jason the old way which really pleased me.
Did anyone see the new Halloween: Resurrection trailer in front of Jason X? This movie actually looks pretty good. Plus we got a glimpse of Jamie Lee Curtis! And the best part is it's coming this July!

I saw this today, and, well, it was......bad.
The majority of the movie is filled with bad one liners and bad acting - it goes beyond the "so bad its good" right back into "bad' territory again.
But, I gotta admit, I loved most of the stuff toward the end - after he gets upgraded, the movie gets a lot better, and tongue-in-cheek jabs at the previous Jason movies was excellent.

I just got back from seeing it and have to admit it was pretty bad - luckily I only paid $5 for my gf and I to see it. The best part of the movie would have to be near the end and esp the camp scene where they mocked their own movie. I hadn't seen a death scene that made me laugh that much in a while :D
If they do decide to do another one I'm hoping that they relaunch the series with a better creative staff and make it more worthwhile. If you're looking for an entire movie full of bad - go see this one!

Thanks - I will avoid the movie dudes.
I was going to anyway, but you have quelled any curiousity. Now I will not waste a further two hours of my life, in someways that may make up for Brazil... ;)
Later.

I just read a review in the newspaper about JASON X. The studio (don't remember the name) that presented the movies has just signed on to have Jason go against who else, but Freddy Krueger. Just thought some of you would like to know.

That project has been in development hell for nearly a decade, I'll be surprised if it ever sees the light of day...
I think only Aliens Vs Predator has lurked in development for as long! :)

Jason vs Freddie was suposed to happen a while ago. hope they do a Wes Craven's new nightmare type thing and ahve it happen in the real world.... Or something cool where they get tired of fighting and team up to kill people for no reason.
I saw Jason X yesterday and I liked it, yeah it was a ba movie but it was entertaining..It was so bad it was funny..But torward the end and after the Upgrade it got good..I was expecting the movie to suck so I'm not mad. I got what I paid for and since I ahda good time I'm happy... Can't wait for the DVD.

It was awesome! It was the end to the series which was supposed to mean no possible terrible sequels, but of course, they had dollar signs in their eyes and brains in their wallets and so Jason X was created and according to another thread, quite possibly Jason X 2 and 3 will follow.
Just let it die...

All I have to say is that I recently just saw this movie and it had alot of things that didnt make sense in it
* Jason all of a sudden freeing himself at the beginging,if it was that easy why didnt he break out a long time ago.
* Where does he get that hatchet from at the begining. I know they are not stupid enough to lock him away with a weapon.
* How come when the nanoants repair Jason they add all this metal and new clothing. They didnt do that for anyone else. That part was just plain dumb.
But I still enjoyed the movie. It was better than "Jason goes to Hell". Heres hoping they dont make enough money off of it to make a sequel.

Any money they made on this film stopped last night. I thought it was good. Better than the last movie I saw in theatres.

Actually, they did explain that. When they're repairing him, it shows on the computer screen that they can't find enough organic material to make the repairs, so they go to an alternate - thus the metal parts.

#1) He's Jason
#2) He's Jason
#3) He's Jason :p
Seriously, I don't understand all the bashing here. If you don't get this kind of movie why did you pay to see it? The two campers saying "Wanna beer or some pot? We love premarital sex!" to distract Jason. Do you walk out of a Charles Chaplin movie saying, "...and why did he slip on that banana peel? He would have seen it!"?
Yet another flick I just recently got around to seeing. My only complaints are that it really didn't pick up where the last left off, but then again neither did it. And the much hyped upgrade didn't happen untill the end, but looking back, I'm glad.
I loved it. With a movie like this there's not much chance to disapoint a fan like me. I guess in that way horror sequals are the opposite of book, and comic book adaptions. Unless they pull a Halloween III die hards are going to be pleased.
Edit: looking over my post I realize it sounds like I'm accusing Knight of bashing. actually I meen all the people who had only negative things to say. There's nothing wrong with having a few complaints, or pointing out incongruities. Especially with a film like this one. ;)

I never was A Jason fan (nor was I ever A Freddy, or A Chuckie fan for that matter.) but after seeing how "Jason X" did at the box office, It's clear to see that Characters like Jason, Freddy, and Chuckie will continue to be milked for all their worth. Just like the James Bond movies.

First I didnt PAY to see it. Secondly just because I was pointing out things I didnt like doesnt mean "I dont get this kind of movie".

I was not referring to you, as I pointed out in the edit. I was talking about people who were bashing the film.

Judginf by what i saw, Jason X didn't do so well in theaters.
They won't make another one until they get jason vs Freddie off the ground.
I didn't see the movie because i'm not a horror fan.
