Danny Elfman? way cool. And yeah, it does seem kind of weird that it's being released after the movie comes out. A while after it comes out too. I thought these kinds of CD's were released with the movie, or even before it?

Actually, it's pretty common. Most score CDs aren't released until a month or so after the mvie hits. A good example of this is the Batman movie scores CDs, which usually were not released until August, almost two months after the movie release.

Please, for the love of God, say that this has the "Trailer Techno" song (the one I've been blabbing about in my thread about it).
Please? C'mon Elfman, it may not be yours, but put it on there anyway, huh?

I'm glad we're getting this. I'm not impressed with the regular soundtrack, that aerosmith song sucks.

I had a feeling this would be released and now, it's official. As a film music fan, it's a disappointment that score albums take so long to be released. Example: Shrek came out around Memorial Day and when did the score album end up in stores? A few weeks before Christmas. Not only is Danny Elfman a personal favorite composer, but a very respected one, so it was eventual. Also, the film is one of the year's most anticipated; if there's no score album, there are going to be a lot of irate score fans.
On a similar note, I hope that Elfman's score to "Men in Black 2" is released as well. DYN: the score album for the first film came out nearly four months after the film's release.

That's good. Elfman is a mixture for me - his stuff is so 'themed' on his own signature. Still great news - especially for purists!

It's just as well. I have to see the movie before I get the score (soundtrack is sometimes a different story) to see if it had THAT big of an impact on me to want it. But hey, with Danny Elfman you can't go wrong! :)

I am really glad they are releasing this. I really enjoy Elfman's work and I know he'll do a stellar job on this. There are some huge action peices in this movie that I know Elfman will go all out for.
