Feather Dusted
One of the four cartoons to feature Egghead Junior. Anyway, who was Miss Prissy's dead husband? I have been puzzled on that for years. I really don't think the Miss Prissy cartoons are very good. Barnyard Dog makes a much more interesting character.

Porky's Pet
Porky Pig wears blue pants, which is very strange. The opening title is also blue, which is also very strange. Did someone have an obsession for the color blue? This cartoon looks much better in its original B&W form. Those are almost like colorization errors.

The Unruly Hare
A title like this would make me think it is a Yosemite Sam cartoon. Then again, the character wasn't created yet. However, his voice was used twice already. The closing gag is obviously about saving travel costs and/or fuels during World War 2.

You Were Never Duckier
One of the five post-48 Blue Ribbon re-releases to feature no credits. It is also unusual due to the fact that Daffy Duck was paired up with the chicken hawk. The idea of replacing "Judge" with "George" was really clever. I find the money comparisons interesting, although completely unfair. The first two sentences mention this as a rare cartoon, even though it receives plenty of airtime.

Hiss and Make Up
This is said to be the first appearance of Granny. If that is true, Tweety came in 1942, Granny in 1943, and Sylvester not until 1945. Then again, the character trio was a later idea. Almost like an earlier version of Sylvester and Tweety, although the lower character fights rather than uses schemes.

Tired and Feathered
This is the third-to-last Roadrunner cartoon for me to record (got it last year). There are two things that make this stand out from the other DePatie-Freleng Roadrunner cartoons. 1)The Bird Sanctuary. That was a good idea, better than many 50s ideas. 2)The saw and hammer idea. It was interesting to actually see that picture while Wile E. Coyote was thinking.

Yes, I've always wondered how "Ol' Square Britches" Prissy got to be known as "Ol' Widder Hen" myself. I always found Prissy better when she was pursuing Foggy or scheming with Dawg to nab him--here, she downright despises and snubs him. Is this the one with the censored Davy Crockett gun gag? At least CN cut it entirely and didn't leave it in without the ending--nothing worse than a joke that has no good resolution.

The cat and bird in "Hiss and Make Up" seem to be modeled after the ones from "Puss 'n' Booty"...and if I'm not mistaken, that's Bea Benaderet as the old woman. Loved the cat and dog's repeated schemes against each other--esp. the mechanical mice--and the bird's repeated pantomime asides.

"Tired and Feathered" is a fair story compromised by Lava's clunky score...but the telephone booth scene is my favorite bit.

How could that be? "Puss 'n' Booty" was released after "Hiss and Make Up" so it would have to be the other way around.
