Naughty but Mice
The first Sniffles cartoon. We talked about it yesterday, and there it is! Watching this cartoon will show you how Sniffles got his name.

Cinderella Meets Fella
In 1938, they had no other choice but to use Egghead as the prince. Sad, isn't it?

The Milky Way
Do not confuse this title with The Milky Waif, released at a later time. I've made that mistake before.

Along Flirtation Walk
This is the 8th of the 10 pre-BR color MMs. If this is a dubbed version, they really got lazy on this one.

"Naughty But Mice"
Very cute. I loved the noise the electric razor made...it sounded sort of--well--flatulent. Who couldn't get a kick out of six minutes of a mouse pixilated on cough syrup?

"Cinderella Meets Fella"
Cute little Cinderella--was she modelled after someone famous? Some great Avery gags, like the slot machine bit, the whole pumpkin in the can, and Cindy hollering into the phone when her fairy godmother is late. Loved seeing Cindy's silhouette in the audience, and Egghead's leering look as he suggests staying for the newsreel!

"Choose Your Weppins" (Popeye)
Fav bit--as Popeye and the tough dispute over the knives, they keep popping into the box and then lining up bladefirst in the lid repeatedly...and then they come to life and whine, "Make up your mind!" Trippy. Wimpy appears as an incompetant police officer who never even notices his prisoner has escaped until her turns up at the end looking like blazes and back in his cuffs.

"The Milky Way" (MGM)
This one looks like it might have been planned for the space-themed shows last week but got cut at the last minute. Watch for the kitten getting a mouthful of milk of magnesia. Those who are lactose intolerant may want to steer clear of this short....

"Along Flirtation Walk"
Sort of hard to follow--a football game-type setup with egg-laying hens. I don't see how billiard balls could be mistaken for eggs, though. Freaky scene--one hen takes a 15-point penalty for giving birth to live chicks on the "field"!
