Well first of all, I am looking forward to this DVD, of course finding it is another thing entirely. Once again DC is out hussled by Marvel. None of the mass retailers are going to be carrying the JLA DVD, which really blows my mind. Lets not even talk about the Batman DVD's which are almost impossible to find. Now yes, I did pre order through my local Comic store, but the line I get from him is that because the release is TODAY his Diamond Shipment tomrrow won't have them. Does that make sense to anyone?????? So if I had been able to find the DVD's someplace else I would have gotten them there and told him to can my order. I was hoping the Walmart would have at least the JLA DVD, but that was a no. It just got worse from there, no one has them, but here's the really sad thing, everyone has the Spider-Man DVD that looks to be a compliation of a few of the Spiderman episodes from the 60's. This once again raises a key issue. Marvel has always been better at merchandising it's heros than DC. I'm glad Marvel is doing everything it can to promote the new Spidy movie, but at the same tiem I am amazed at how weak DC, (which is after all a division of the biggest media conglomerate in the world, AOL-Time Warner), is when it comes to merchandising.
So now I get to wait another week, while my lame comic book store finally gets the DVD's in. Has anyone else run into this, where Diamond supposedly won't ship DVD's on time if the street date is the day before their ship date to the store.

Actually the Spidey "movie" isn't even going to be a compilation of the 60's toon but instead will be a cut and paste job - using scenes from different episodes within Spidey's 90's series to paste together an animated feature. Personally I really hate the idea and would like to thank Disney, the true devil behind this DVD, for trying to not only destroy their own library of films but also the properties that they buy up.

I hear ya, I'd like to torture the joker that has made all the money driven stupid ass decisions on their DVD marketing. They are truly driving a stake into Disney's heart, for a company that is the pioneer of animation, they sure have become degrading. I hate them for this Spiderman thing, for the longest time I was confident FOX would be doing season sets for the show due to the movie's hype & popularity. Unfortunatly it had to be DISNEY of ALL comapnies to own the rights, DAMN THEM! NO other company could have made such a BAD decision, I would have even rather had a theme set! and BTW I'd actually like to commend WB on their recnet Batman efforts AS LONG as they stick to releasing the shows in order! DISNEY could learn from them
