Is to see him portray the Trickster in 2 of the Flash tv episodes. Both Trickster & Joker are very similar. Psychotic genieses. It was weird to here him laugh. All I heard was the Joker laugh. In the second episode he appeared in. His sidekick was an obsessed fan who fell in love with him named Prank. Very similar to Harley. He even treated her the same. She would do whatever he wanted and helped him. But, would throw her out of a truck if she got on his nerves.

I don't think any of the Flash episodes are on DVD. Perhaps this person burned their own DVD from their VHS copies.

Anyway, for those who do not know, there was a short lived "Flash" television show. It only had one season.

John Wesley Shipp played the Flash (he plays Dawson's father on the Creek).

What the gray ghost said. It was 22 episodes. Done very similar in style to the 1989 Batman movie. Even Danny Elfman wrote the theme. With addition music by Shirley Walker, who did music for the Batman animated show. The show was very well written and the effects were pretty good. I have the pilot on Laserdisc. The 2 trickster episodes on vhs. I think you can buy both the pilot and the trickster episodes on vhs still. The trickster vhs is called "Flash 2: Revenge of the Trickster". All it is. Is the 2 episodes made into one movie. Trust me, when you see Hamill play the Trickster, you will think of the Joker.
I am the one who is burning the dvd's. Besides the pilot and the trickster episodes. I was able to get (a few years ago) 8 of the better episodes taped on sp vhs directly from the Flash production company. I started a conversation with one of the production guys their and told him how I did not have a few of the episodes (this was before the Scifi channel aired it). He was nice enough to make the copies for me. The rest of the episodes I got off of the scifi channel. But, now that I have the dvd burner. I have been transferring the episodes to dvd. They look even better now.

***UPDATE***
go to this link. It is the mysimon listings of places that sell the trickster movie vhs.

You can also look for the Pilot, just called the Flash.

In 1990, John Wesley Shipp starred as Barry Allen, aka the Flash, in a live-action TV show. The writing was not always the best, but the effects and some of the shows were quite good. Sadly, the show was cancelled after one season and is now considered a cult show.

Shipp's portrayal of Allen was very well done. Shipp lent a very charming and humble quality to Allen that is worlds apart from the Wally West version on the Justice League.

Here is a good Flash page complete with photos, episode summaries, and links:

You can rent or buy some of the videos. I highly recommend them. I know of only four VHS tapes for sale (possibly rent).

1) The Flash (origin story)
2) The Trickster (with Mark Hamill eerily as a Joker-like villian)
3) Revenge of the Trickster
4) Nightshade

LordRikerQ,

I have burned my own copies of the show using my dvd burner. I too got tired of waiting.
