Hey folks. This is my first time posting to this board. :D

I was wondering if any of you knew the reason why Cartoon Network refuses to air the short 'Dog Gone South'... I remember watching it on ABC and I don't remember seeing anything racist or anything in the cartoon.

(This cartoon is the one with the dog trying to have the southern gentleman adopt him by acting southern... the man called his own dog by yelling "Oh Belvedere! Come heah boy!")

 I'm wondering if anybody has this cartoon ripped to MPG or AVI, so that I could trade for it. Thanks!

Welcome to the board! I'm sure you'll like it here...

"Dog Gone South" is one of many WB cartoons CN refuses to air, mainly because of its content (the South, plantations = slavery). The cartoon also has Colonel Shuffle in it, who also made an appearance in the banned Bugs Bunny short "Mississippi Hare".

Once again, welcome! :D
