Well I consider The Adventures of Superman and Lois and Clark to be more or less the same. I never saw Superboy. So far, as much of a fan I am of Lois Clark, Smallville has been doing really great...save the krypto-villain of the week thing they had going for sometime. If they had pulled away from that a bit, I would say I liked it over Lois and Clark. It's kind of a toss up, but for now, I'm going with Smallville.

I voted for Superboy, and here's why.
Superboy had a good idea even before Smallville, they just didn't have as big a budget and technology. I like Superboy because they dealt with the major villians, almost all of them except Mongul. Although the Luthor character seemed more like a Joker kinda guy playing Luthor. The most important thing is that this series was the first live action versions of most of Superman's rogues gallery, of which some have yet to be revised yet.
Classic Adventures was cool, but of course it never got into stories about bank robberies and gangsters using kryptonite to fight their greatest rival, Superman, good for the times, but maybe if they got into more stories outside of that, it could of been better.
Lois and Clark was just dumb. I hated Lois and Clark. They turned it into a moonlighting thing and that wasn't cool. The only thing good about that series was Teri Hatcher. And John Shea had a good Luthor.
Smallville isn't finished yet, and yes it is polished up and refined with perfect casting for all the major characters setting the stage for the future of Superman, it just remains to be seen if this simply will last.

Superboy.
That show was incredible for the late 80's. All the villains like Mxy, Bizzaro, Luthor...

Lois and Clark all the way. Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher were perfect, and so were the couple who played the Kents. It was campy, yet seriously portrayed, and I really liked the chemistry between the two leads. Smallville's okay, but just too...angsty for my tastes.

I vote for "Lois and Clark". The cast was perfect. I usually for the most part hate Superman but I loved the show - could have been Teri Hatcher influencing me though :D

With my 900th post :D I cast my vote in favor of Lois & Clark. This was one show my family and I watched together every week. I thought all of the actors were well-suited for their parts and I always think of Dean Cain as Superman. It repaired the damage done (in my view) by the extremely dorky Clark Kent in the movies, by making him a bit cooler, yet still sometime inept in some situations when it came to Lois.
Parts of it got a bit stupid and some of the more supernatural characters were a bit too much for me, but overall L&C is my favorite. Now if I could just get TNT to move when they air it so I could make it to my morning classes on time. :o

Adventures of Superman in stark black and white. Nothing for me captures that level of charm. I really dig old school.

hands down Lois and Clark, They should be in the next movie reprising their roles, they did such an amazing job. I cant wait till they make DVD boxed sets for the series.
Smallville would be my second vote but its not really "Real Superman" theres no cape or flying but its still real good, seeing how he deals with life trying to be a normal teen. Except hes too close to Lana Lang, I could have swore in the movies and comics its been said she kinda ignored him in High school.

Adventures of Superman. I loved watching this show on Nick at Nite. Classic Golden Age goodness.
I don't remember too much about Superboy to really have an opinion about it.
Lois & Clark was great during the first season. After that, the show just started going down the tubes. Biggest mistake was probably eliminating Lex Luthor at the end of season one.
I like Smallville, but it's still too early to make a call on it.
Regarding Lana, she had been interested in Clark since they met in Kindergarten, but he always thought of her as a sister. Lana got over it though, and is now married to Pete Ross, VP of the USA.

I voted Lois and Clark. My family used to watch it together, but when it moved to Sunday nights, it was a tough call between Superman and the Simpsons. I still find the episodes somewhat entertaining....it reminds me of the weekend winding down. However, I think it went drastically downhill when Lois found out the Clark and Superman were one and the same. My interest faded after that, and I stopped watching.
Smallville is nice for an occasional watch, but it never completely grabs me and glues me to the television. Although I was excited when it first came out, I now wander around during the show...yes, it's on as background noise, but that's because I feel as though I SHOULD watch it.

Actually in the comics she was the one who was crazy about him, not the other way around like it is in Smallville.

Hmm, I'd be crazy about him, too.
But honestly, now, are we really supposed to believe that Clark is a completely unpopular dork who gets bullied by jocks?
If anyone as good looking as the actor playing Clark went to my high school, I don't think he would have trouble finding a date...

That's right - I voted Lois and Clark !!!
For one thing, it managed to take the mainstream Superman and present him in a weekly tv series without making him look too goofy (a HUGE challenge)...while Smallville has the easier task of representing a pre-Superman Clark Kent among his rural family and friends, but often makes him look really cheesy.

You're probably refering to his corny personality....I don't think that's cheesy, but it's corny....but I think that cheesy is closer to being unrealistic than corny.

Superboy.
Just cheesy enough. I have never seen anyone do Superman better then Richard Donner. So if I'm going to watch something else that's Superman, I might as well have a good laugh.
