A local comic shop is clearing out its VHS rental section for DVDs. I missed the start of the sale and about all that's left is generic robot anime. Until...the bottom of the pile, overlooked by all, Season One Byte Two Remastered, with the Cat's origin, Lister's mutant pneumonia, and the two dueling Rimmers. Five bucks. Welcome home.
It's been years since I've seen "Red Dwarf" and even then it was reruns at one in the morning. My God, I forgot how much I love this show. Gazpacho soup. Quagaar warriors. The exploding mayor of Warsaw. The attack fighters from the North-West Electric Co-operative. The holy war over the color of the hot dog stand hats. Now I can crank the sound up and get the full effect of the theme song. This is great.
Nothing to say really, except "RED DWARF" ROOOCKS! WHOOOOO!
