I suspect the only reason that the played it uncut was so they they could claim that they played it uncut at least once. I suspect that in the future, it will either be edited, or they just won't play it at all. Good thing I was taping this morning.
In the last three months, I taped Here Today Gone Tamales, Cannery Woe, Mexican Joyride, and A Horsefly Fleas, all from the Saturday and Sunday morning shows. I bet that those cartoons won't be on the Saturday or Sunday morning shows for at least 2 or 3 more years.
I know that a lot of you guys tape every single late night showing of Bugs and Daffy and the Acme Hour, in the hopes of getting an occasional rare cartoon. I don't usually tape those, as it's just easier and more efficient for me to tape the big 4 hour blocks each Saturday and Sunday. If they had a special show late at night which was devoted exclusively to rare and un-PC cartoons, then I would tape that.
As far as I'm concerned, playing a cartoon just once every two years is almost like they are trying to tease us.
Let's see how long it takes before they play Tweet Dreams again, and if it is still uncut.

I just looked on the Censored Cartoons Page to see what was cut. An Indian scene. I remember seeing that many years ago. Why would they cut that when they didn't cut Tweet Dreams?
Are there any other Foghorn Leghorn cartoons with Indiain scenes that get cut? Are there any Foghorn Leghorn cartoons that CN hasn't aired? Thanks in advance to whoever answers.

Peck Up Your Troubles came on! I overslept this one in January, and was happy to see it today. Also nice to see Tweet Dreams with its original titles (ABC clipped them off):)

It's not really CN's fault for cutting or not cutting the Tweety cartoons. I didn't watch this morning, but I know what you're talking about, that scene is from"Gift Wrapped". The reason it is cut there, as well as why the Foghorn cartoon is edited, iis because their standards change but their prints don't...and many times the prints come from Warners itself (hence that despicable copy of "Dripalong Daffy" they just can't seem to quit playing that way.) Several cartoons HAVE been fixed up, as in "Highdiving Hare", "Bugs' Bonnets", "The Big Snooze" (for various content) and "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century" (for print quality/speeding.) I imagine it's still pretty random and takes a lot of effort to do, so 9 times out of ten they don't bother fixing things. I guess they figure with hundreds and hundreds of cartoons on the air the incongruities are trivial to them, and for the most part the casual viewer doesn't notice. I STILL wish they'd make more of an effort, though.

Peck Up your Troubles was not dubbed, and had Eastmancolor fading.
