Attention: animation and comics fans living in the California area. This weekend - Friday, April 19 through Sunday April 21 - you'll have the opportunity to attend panels and meet professionals from both industries, as well as a number of other planned events - at WONDERCON at the Oakland Marriott City Center & Oakland Convention Center in Oakland, CA.
Of interest to Toon Zone fans are the following guests:

BRUCE TIMM - producer/director/artist for "Batman: The Animated Series", "Batman Beyond" and "Justice League".

JOHN ROMITA, SR - Spider-Man artist extraordinare and art director for Marvel Comics

JOHN ROMITA, JR - Comic artist for Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Thor, and X-Men.

Also planned are two events featuring Pixar Animation Studios: a screening of "The Best of Pixar's Short Films", and a "Making Pictures at Pixar" panel hosted by two Pixar representatives.
And also of note: the WORLD PREMIERE of comedian/writer/film director Steve Oedekerk's THUMBTANIC. Steve's previous thumb-animated films "Thumb Wars" and "The Blair Thumb" have gone over hugely with fans ("must-haves" for any animated DVD collectors), and the release of "Thumbtanic" is something fans have been anticipating for quite some time.
