Ready for a 2-part challenge? I was wondering which of these nine pre-1947 cartoons, which were all nominated for an academy award, would be most deserving (in your opinion) to win.
There should be some interesting answers here!

I my pick would be THE WILD HARE(1940)
just seeing a rabbit outsmart a hunter is pretty funny

Considering the other nominees of that specific year, "A Wild Hare" was probably the most deserving, but my favorite two of the group are "Pigs in a Polka" (1942 -- lost to "Der Fuher's Face") and "Swooner Crooner (1944 -- lost to "Mouse Trouble")

Check out the new poll I just placed up and you'll see those nominees. My computer went wacky last night and that was why the poll did not come out.

Okay, I choose DETOURING AMERICA. Nobody else voted for it, but I think that was an excellent, hilarious cartoon, and Avery's best cartoon at WB.
