Favorite game show hosts

I've been watching Family Feud and Match Game on the Game Show channel for the last several nights (and it's easy to listen to while surfing the boards!) and it got me to thinking who some of the best game show hosts are, and of course, I thought I would throw it out there and see what you all thought.

I think the best game show hosts are Richard Dawson (Family Feud), Gene Rayburn (Match Game), and Bob Barker (Price is Right.)

I think all three of them are genuine in their love for the shows they are on and weren't on there just to collect a pay check. And I think that those game shows aren't or would not be the same without those particular hosts at the helm. While Family Feud tried to go on with Ray Combs (who did a good job, but was no Richard Dawson), and now with Louie Anderson (and the current show is ok, but not great), Richard Dawson made that show and remains the best host of that show to this date. And can Match Game be pictured with anybody but Gene Rayburn at the helm? I know they tried to revive the show a year ago or so, but it failed miserably. I caught a few episodes and it just wasn't the same with out Gene and showed how important the right host on the right game really is. And Bob Barker? He's always been king of his game, but he get extra kudos for being in Happy Gilmore!

So do any of you have any favorites, and why?

Regis Philbin is actually a nice guy. I met him on the streets of New York and he was a funny guy and kind enough for a pic and autograph.

Anne Robinson from the Weakest Link is also really funny, especially when she makes of all the players for being stupid (and they really are).

Also Bob Barker, he's been doing his job for a long time, had the best fight with adam sandler, and has done a lot of charity work for many different causes like controlling the pet population.

Anne Robinson is funny, and I don't think she is as horrible as people make her out to be. Speaking of Weakest Link, is that show on NBC still? I hardly watch NBC anymore, and I've seen the Weakest Link on PAX now a few times. Did PAX pick it up, or do they have some kind of agreement with NBC?

Yeah it still shows on NBC. Saw it on the other day. ::shrugs:: Dunno why PAX is showing the Weakest Link.

As a kid, I used to love all the game shows. Now I still do, but don't watch as often. Anyway, my favourite host is Bob Barker. He 's a funny and nice guy.
