Spoiler's up in here, so if you're so enthralled by the G.I. Joe saga that you don't want the most minute detail revealed to you.... do not read on.

Okay, I did not like seeing old Snake Eyes' face at the end of the series. I mean, the best part about Snake was that he was the quintessential coolest character.

Silent ninja.... moved cool... never spoke and was always tortured, yet stood strong.

But I guess that wacky virus thing.... "cured" him and now he's some smiling blonde haired, blue eyed white guy.

I really liked the mystery of you never knew what was behind the mask. And as a minority kid, it was cool to speculate, maybe he's black(cuz super cool black heroes that weren't some stereotype with the word "Black" infront of his name were in nil supply,) maybe he was Japanese, or possibly white.

But with Snake it didn't matter. He could be anything you wanted to be and he was always cool!

So, yeah.... just wanted to voice a thumbs down on a smiling blonde haired Snake Eyes on one knee proposing to Scarlett.......... *sigh*, what's Scarlett Duke's girl anyway???

Even back in the day when GI Joe was a Marvel comic Snake Eyes was always white with blonde hair.

Thought he was always kept in shadow and masked.... :(

Yep, from what I remember, he was always white. He just had a messed up face, and so he never liked to show it, and thus he hid behind the mask.

Bummer...... kinda liked it when he was less human. Just distilled cool, poored into a suit. They guy in G.I. Joe childhoold JohnCrichton could believe in a way... "hey... maybe that's me in that suit!"

Is his life and background known too?

Wow.... the things I didn't know.

All I ever knew was the cartoon. Wish I'd gotten into comic books sooner...

I wish They had novels about G.I Joe. That story about Snake Eye was good enough for a movie!

If your local comic store has GI Joe back issues. His face is on one of the covers. I don't remember the number, but you can't miss it. I think it was a 4 part story, at least 2.

Yes, yes, I know.... Snake Eyes has a face and actual background that you're no longer free to make up. :p

Ah well.... *shrug*

Interesting background. Again, I wish I'd gotten into comics sooner. My friends tell me incredible stories of the Joes that I never knew!
