The Crime Syndicate

I don't know about anyone else but I would love to see a Crime Syndicate (CS) storyarc on JL. The CS from Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly graphic novel JLA: Earth 2. This CS is comprised of CS big guns: Owlman, Johnny Quick, Power Ring, Ultraman, and Superwoman. These baddies are Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, and Wonder Woman evil counterparts respectively. CS is basely an evil Justice League that lived on Earth 3 before crisis. Earth 3 was a place where bad was good, where Abraham Lincoln shot President John Wilkes Booth, and American Christopher Columbus discover Europe. The CS would be a formiddable opponent for JL. I mean you can never have too many supervillian groups.

If we were to see the Crime Syndicate, I'd want the Pre-Crisis one.

It really doesn't matter to me. I just want to see the Crime Syndicate on JL. I think the CS that I suggest matchs up with the characters on the show.

Personally, I can't comprehend why anyone wouldn't want to see them. It's not as though their presence in an episode would prevent an Injustice Gang from ever appearing on the show again.

Can't we have a combination of both? I know that Timm and the creative team tend to lean more towards the Silver Age versions of most characters, but Grant Morrison's Earth 2 was just too cool to ignore (and Quitely's redesigns were beautiful!).

It could be a combination of both...but the universe should be called Earth-2. Like the post-crisis version...the pre-crisis version was called Earth-3.

I was just talking about how much I would love to see the Crime Syndicate in an episode or story arc of JL. It was a thread about what characters you would like to see appear, and they were second on my "villains" list.

The only problem I saw was the Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter do not have CS counterparts, but the five CS members could be so dangerous that they don't need seven members like the JL. Also, the creators could, if they feel the need, create CS members for Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter. Either way, I think it would be a great idea to see played out on the cartoon.

I actually pictured the opening teaser for a Crime syndicate episode.It'd be sort of a twisted version of the last scene in "Secret Origins".

Ultrman: I once thought I could take over the world by myself. Working together, we showed the world not to mess with us. And I think if we stuck together, we could really run this world the way we want to.

Johnny Quick: What, like a buncha "Super Enemies"?

Ultraman: More like a...Crime Syndicate.

So, what's to say they can't do another one? Besides, I think it was either Bruce Timm or Rich Fogel that said they wanted to do an episode with the Crime Syndicate.
