Well, I thought it was a good issue. I liked when Batgirl kept knocking out Spoiler. Also Batman needs to shave!
I think this issue may have helped move along the Fugitive storyline.
However digging up Vespers body was kind of gross moment in the book.

So what did ya'll think of Batgirl #27??

Very cool, clean issue. Easily the best contribution to MURDERER and FUGITIVE that BATGIRL has made.

Better. I think this was the Best issue of the entire arc so far. Best and Worst.

Best: This issue proves that the actual killer, or the one who did the Actual act of physical harm on Vesper, was either, Bane, Cain, or dare I say Azreal. But I think it's the the 1st two. Now this does not go into detail of who the Master mind was, as still could possibly be Luthor, or Strange. But at Least we have a good Idea Of who the Hired muscle was.

Worst: Agian clues that Batman is not acting like himself. Why on Earth would he ask Batgirl for Help, YET, everyone else who he Begged to aid him Like Nightwing, Robin, Alfred, Barb, he just say's "NO". Yet Batgirl *Hoorah* she beat Shiva, and he tells Batgirl to Return the Favor?? And help him? He knew she was going to Fight Shiva, and did not intervien. And say's it's something you had to do? Correct me if Im wrong but that's more of a David Cain attitude. If Batgirl would have died, (Which she DID) btw, that would have been On Batman's Conscious. So it's proof, he has no conscious right now.

Another thing the writing sucked. Barb asks Batgirl what Batman said, and Batgirl does not tell Barb that he asked for help. I found that very disturbing.

Batgirl even said Batman LOOKED different. Something tell's me that is NOT Batman behind that mask.

Batgirl can read body language as a primary language, and right now Batman is not matching up. But she's too dumb to ever suspect something is wrong because he's Batman.

But, you see, Batman didn't ask Batgirl for help. When she said "Let me help", he said that he didn't intervene with her fight with Shiva, and then said "Return the favor", as in STAY AWAY FROM THIS. He told her to bug off.

Now, my question is, who was that man on the last page?

Hehe, I was very amused with Spoiler getting knocked out so much. I'm not all too familiar with her character, I know the basics, but, is there a point to her? She seems like nothing more than a nusiance, and Batgirl knocking her out so easily was just so great. First thing I thought when they showed Batman was "wow..he REALLY needs to shave." Maybe he's going for the gritty look? Or trying out a type of disguise to look less like Bruce Wayne would? I'm not so sure I see this whole view of "it's not really Batman". I agree that something is really fishy with how he is acting, it's quite freaky, but I'm still more or less confident that it is really him underneath the cowl.

Just read it...Awesome book, and I agree with many of the posts that this was a great fugitive story...Batgirl figuring out that Vesper was hit with "the nerve strike" by analyzing her corpse...wild stuff. Very comical interaction between Steph and Cassandra. I really liked Noto's artwork, nice change of pace.

Great reading and visualizations!

The corpse thing totally freaked me out! But it was awesome at the same time to. I mean, she dug up a corpse....pretty bizarre, and never saw anything like that coming, but it made Batgirl even cooler. How she was able to detect the nerve strive rocked too. I loved Spoiler's digusted reaction, especially when, even though she had a mask on, Batgirl went to touch her after she'd just touched the corpse with her bare hands.

I read PREVIEWS, so I saw the grave digging thing coming months ago. :)

They made Spoiler look like a ditz this issue.

The man at the end? I don't know. But the man he was on the phone with, with the martial arts guys in the background, could that have been Shrike?

That's why I was wondering about Spoiler as a character, because in this issue she was like a tag along ditz who had no purpose being with Batgirl or Oracle or Black Canary, she was just a talkative, whining nuisance....and I wasn't sure if that was just in this issue, or in general. Hmm, never thought about that. It could be Shrike, perhaps training a different type of "ninja" than before? The last page with the guy on the phone didn't really make sense to me at all. It just made me really anxious to get the new issues to see if they would enlighten on that part a bit.

Can you explain this to me? I know Batgirl fought Shiva a few issues back, but I don't know what happened.

As for the issue, I thought it was good. Creepy, kind of. I thought it was funny that Batgirl kept knocking out Spoiler. Good stuff.

Spoiler for Batgirl #25:

Shiva killed Batgirl. But, for the past year Shiva's been preparing a ritual that would bring her back to life, because Shiva saw that Batgirl had a deathwish and would let herself be killed. But what Shiva really wanted was a good fight. So, she let Batgirl get herself killed, brought her back to life, and then they had their fight.

I have a question.
Didn't Spoiler say in issue #27, when talking to Batgirl, that Batgirl had gotten to cocky or something since killing Shiva? So, did Batgirl end up killing Shiva after that? And is Shiva gone for good, or will some ritual be done?

Thanks

Nope, Shiva lived. In the next to last panel, where both Shiva and Batgirl are lying on the ground, completely exhausted, she says "I'll kill you...." and Batgirl replies "Not tonight..."

So what was Spoiler talking about in #27?

lol, all those "spoiler" tags were amusing. Here's another!

I think that Spoiler was just being whiny. Like, she was just teasing Cassandra. I mean, Spoiler sucks compares to Cassandra, and she was probably a bit peeved with getting knocked out and stuff by her so often. I just assumed that she was kidding around with Batgirl.

No that's how Spoiler always is. Spoiler rules when she is having an accident or break down. You really need the Gotham Knights issue from the last laugh cross-over to really enjoy Spoiler at her best.

Yeah, that GK was the only good Last Laugh there was. Spoiler freaking out when the bug guy came after her. Heh.

"Oh that's right. You...always lose."

OhMYGOD! I'd agree with that statement.
