They changed the line in the theatre scene with Bruce.
He said
"ScwaRage."
Instead of
ScHaYage.
Oh well I have to much time on my hands.

I happened to tape the episode today, and I'm pretty sure Bruce says "It's scharbage."
By the way, did you notice Mark (Joker) Hamill and Adrienne (Catwoman) Barbeau both provided voices in that episode? Very interesting.

He said SCHWARBAGE when I watche dit today. I watche dit on WB11, so it could change fron affiliate to affiliate. But he said SCHWARBAGE loud and clear. At least, it seemed to me.

...I'll just never get over the way Ra's, in Talia's body, swivels his/her hips when he walks towards Bruce. He's been a dame too long if he's able to get a woman's walk down that skillfully. Plus the way the animators lovingly captured the light playing over Talia/Ras' bum....aaaghhhadda....

Yeah, "schwarbage," sad ending, and amazing story. By the way, which parts did Hamil and Barbeau have?

Hamill was Carter; Barbeau was one of the singers.

"It's schwarbage" has got to be one of future Bruce's best lines.
Dang it, I've got that "superstitious, cowardly lot" song in my head again...

I was wondering why Bruce didn't hit Terry after that annoying play.
And why did Bruce say "Schwarbage"?

Yesterday I read the first Issue of Batman for the first time in my life. It's a reprint from the masterpiece collection. Anywho....
when Bruce Wayne is deciding to become a superhero he makes a comment. I know that villains are a superstitous cowarderly lot.....
now I finally understand!

Tim that is so cool!! Ha! I suppose we should have guessed huh? A line like that could only come out of the time period 60 years ago. :)
And yeah it's always been Bruce saying "It's Schwarbage" after Terry saying it's "schway" and all. Pretty funny line, as it shows Bruce insulting the dorky generation as a whole.

Also, at the very begining when the actor playing Batman says "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman" didn't that line come from some old comic? Cuz i know it's been said more than once.

Like DG said the line is funny because it makes fun of the word Schway.

It was said in one of the TAS episodes. One of the Scarecrow episodes. You can see that exact clip here:
