This artwork was executed at the height of the BP oil eruption. It depicts a maniacally gleeful Black supervillain known as, and called, The Diamond Despoiler. I guess, when perpetrating this artwork, one of my thinkings was: how would the Whiter society react if someone Black caused an environmental disaster such as an oil eruption?
