When did she wear that costume in the middle?

It looks really cool, I think it might be my favorite. Reminds me of the costume from the movie. Actually it looks just like the movie's.

The costume in the middle was for a proposed Catwoman animated series that never got off the ground. Shame, too, when you look at the design.

Yeah, though I like all three designs in different ways, the middle one for the proposed Catwoman series was the best looking. It took the best of both designs. Dark and sleek, but still curvy and not overly-streamlined.

The middle one is better than the TNBA design, but the B: TAS one is still the best. I never liked the pale white skin.

Yeah, if they took the middle design, but gave her normal colored skin, I'd say that would be the best of them.

middle design looks like the TAS and TNBA crossed..hmm..I like.. :)

I wish that Catwoman series took off though...nice costume..

I adore that middle outfit!

It really sucks big-time that Selina never got that spinn-off series...or a DTV...Timm did mention that a movie was planned....but that it was "pitch black".

I really wish Gotham Adventures would pick up the slack and continue to develop the whole Catwoman/Batman riff (see issue #4). I see this outfit as the last one Selina ever wears...once she's decided to play it straight...and is back together with Bruce...but is still a little naughty! :D

For more images of that suit, check out the Bruce Timm gallery web-site. There are some great images...

What do Catwoman, Nightwing, and animated series have in common? Three words that combined will never happen.

Turn that frown upside down. I didn't say I was against it. :)

Well I never did like the one on the right very much.

If the middle one wasn't there I think I would have voted for the one on the left, (in black prefered)

I don't like all the cut lines that seem to be creeping into animation all the time.

The one on the right... Her head is way too big. The one in the middle looks the best. I just think she looks a little fat for Catwoman.

Yes, the right's head is way too big, but I like the claws. Which do you think is fat? They all look pretty skinny to me.

Maybe fat was the wrong word. Look at the shoulders on the middle one.

Did anybody notice she looks older, from the first picture on the left to the last picture on the right. I liked the middle picture too.

She looks like the one on the right in the JL comic.

the thats doesn't really count though. considering Grundy looks different in the series than in the comic. the reason i sad that is because all the batman characters in JL look like hybrid forms from the New Batman adventures, and Batman & Robin

No, I'm a sucker for TAS. I'll always love that look best. :)

I heard a different story for the middle design.

I think I heard that the middle design was intended as a change for Catwoman from Batman: The Animated Series to The Adventures of Batman and Robin. Timm didn't like the way she turned out in the grey costume, and wanted to change her. So a redesign was done. But Kenner or Hasbro, whichever company was making the action figures at the time, had just gotten around to making a figure of the grey costume, and wanted the show to keep that version so the figure would sell better. So the show kept the old design to keep the toy company happy.
