Okay, first off, this scenario did not happen to me!!! But it is true though, with the names made up to inforce privacy. So without further ado, I'll begin...
___________
One day, my friend Cloud ( a guy) met up with a girl he hadn't seen since about 5 years ago, during Summer Cam . The girl's name was Rinoa. Now 5 years ago, Cloud had a huge crush for Rinoa. But Rinoa would make fun of him jokingly and generally be a friend. Cloud never had the nerve to tell Rinoa his feelings, and when the summer ended, he never saw Rinoa again. He was kinda heartbroken, but he moved on.

Now it was 5 years later and he finally seen Rinoa again! Cloud immediately started talking to her and stuff. He even got her phone number and started to call her everyday. Then when a month past, they stated talking and then they kinda kissed. It was an awkward thing with Cloud, because what was it suppose to mean. Well, him and Rinoa kissed a few more times and then the big day came. Cloud asked the big question that he wanted to her since long ago..."Will you go out with me?". Rinoa's reply was silence and then she answered "I'll tell you tomorrow".

Tomorrow came and Cloud was nervous as to what Rinoa's reply was. He had finally seen her and she finally told him the answer he was waiting for...

"I'm sorry Cloud, but I'm a lesbian."

Cloud's mouth literally dropped to the ground in amazement. And then as a reinforcement, she kissed who would be her girlfriend. Cloud just stood there in amazement, as he couldn't believe it. So many things were hinted that she could've liked Cloud, specifically the kissed ON THE LIPS, that she gave to Cloud. It didn't make any sense. It also didn't make any sense how she could've changed so much in 5 years.

Well, Cloud's reaction to this whole thing was simple laughter. Rinoa had already left with her girlfriend and her parents in their car. There was also a huge crowd of people nearby that heard the whole thing, and they just laughed. Cloud laughed too, but inside he was heartbroken. He stopped callin Rinoa for awhile to let things simmer.

Well that's it. Rinoa had called back and said she was sorry and Cloud accepted, and they occasionally still chat. But nothing won't change what happened on that day.
__________

Well, tell me what you think of this? I think that, this was messed up. She led him on and then tells him she's a lesbian. Why didn't she just tell him in the first place. In fact, she said she assumed he already knew. How is he suppose to know, if he just had just met her a couple of months and nobody has told him.

Oh boy, girls these days...

It almost sounded like a Jerry Springer episode :p .

It wouldn't have worked between them. She apparently led him on without telling him that she was a lesbian, and Cloud probably deserves better.

If not, tell him to summon up a Chocobo to run her over.

Hit her with that chocobo

Hit her with the chocobo? It should poke her eyes out! That is very very cruel for any person to do to someone else, especially friends. That's a very bad moral person that would lead on a guy (and you know she probably knew he liked her), and then leave him hanging for a whole day, only to reject him. And to say she's a lesbian and than kiss her girlfriend and leave? That's beyond harsh. Good for him for still speaking with her, but I would not be on the best of terms with her for a long long time.

She should've told him on the first kiss which should've turned out to be a "sorry..but.." kiss instead of leading him on and toying with his emotions. I'd definitely be working on a major guilt trip for her. :D

Well, first off, I don't know enough to make much of a decision, but - I dunno - it doesn't seem like she was purposely toying with his emotions. It seemed like a great and blooming friendship that was evolving. Innocent even. And I feel it must've been hard for her too to admit that. And how old are they? Maybe she's still exploring her sexuality, and is 'between choices' right now. Maybe she actually does feel something for him, but her love for her girlfriend is stronger. I dunno - I wish I knew more about them.

But as long as you say that they're still friends, I think everything is cool. 'Better to have loved and lost' and all that, and two people don't have to be lovers to be close and both happy.

Ages you ask...

Cloud- 15 (at that time)
Rinoa- 14 (at that time)

If you are wondering where I got the fake names, Cloud is from FF7 and Rinoa FF8.

As for their personalitites, Cloud is like the quiet, shy type of guy that is a overall nice guy. Rinoa is a VERY quiet girl, but she's not shy and she is very outgoing.

Well, no matter how you word it, it's not something I'd wish on anyone else.

As for what I think about it: He's better off without her, and shame on her for leading him on like that.

Man, that sucks. People should make things very clear when love is involved. I guess the lesson of the story is to not kiss members of the opposite sex who are attracted to you when, to their surprise, you are homosexual. That or just stay away from women :D .

She was experimenting, it seems to me. What a naughty little nymph!

Anyway, They're only about 15. This is not "love", because he really didn't know her. Embarrassment and wounded pride washed over him perhaps, but he couldn't really be heartbroken.

Trust me, a REAL heartbreak hurts even more than this. This is just merely an unfortunately embarrassing and bitterly humourous little episode in this young man's life.
