"Chicken Jitters"

I'm sure I have asked this before...but I've forgotten the answer. Was there ever a color version made of "Chicken Jitters", be it computer, redrawn or sepia/colortone? Maybe that explains its absence from TV outside of Bob Clampett show?

There is a computer colorized version of "Chicken Jitters". It aired on Nickelodeon and Kids' WB. For some reason, CN doesn't air it. "The Film Fan", "Porky's Prize Pony", and "Porky's Cafe" also exist in computer colorized (and redrawn) form, but CN has only aired the B&W versions.

There is a hand-traced Chicken Jitters as well. I remember the horribly retraced scene of the Bing Crosby rooster with all his boy chicks.

CN has only aired the B&W versions.

Then, don't expect those cartoons to air any time soon. CN no longer shows B&W versions. :(

I don't remember seeing the redrawn version, but I have the computer -colored and the B&W version which recently aired on the late lamented LNB&W... :(

I think "Chicken Jitters" isn't shown too much because of the scenes with the weasel holding his huge six-shooter...

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought the B/W cartoons back eventually. They can't hide them forever. What I'd really like to see is the "Bob Clampett Show" brought back, and no more computer colorized cartoons on "Toon Heads"!

I managed to get "Chicken Jitters" on LNB&W. I had Porky's Prize Pony in B&W on one of my tapes, but the tape got damaged!

Wrong film, oops! I remember the Crosby rooster but not the film. Ouch!

I got "Chicken Jitters" from the Bob Clampett show, and "Prize Pony" from Late Night Black and White. I think i have a redrawn of "Prize Pony" too, but It's on some PD tape.

You mean more reruns, right?

Sure. Reruns doesn't make it a bad show, and they featured stuff that was uncut, uncolorized (mostly), and informative. They included all of Clampett's cartoons that would fit, and there weren't enough left to justify a third season. A few other Clampett cartoons they didn't have the rights to or couldn't air for...obvious reasons. Anyway, I think it was an outstanding program, and I'm not even the biggest fan of Bob Clampett.
