I was watching Sponge Bob the other day when on comes a commercial for the KCA. First Rosie O Donnell is hosting. Do kids really need to have a lesbian host? No. This is a kids network she does not need to have an affliation of any kind with it. Second the category to vote for was best sports team. While this is a stupid category in the first place because there is no way you can compare a basketball team to a football team, they carry it to greater stupidity. In the football team they have the 49ers. I know they are one of the greatest franchises in history and made the playoffs this year, but they got knocked out in the first round. Where are the Pats and Rams. The Pats are the SB champs. They are, like it or not, the best in the league. The Rams are the "Greatest Show on Earth." What are your thoughts on this and the rest of the KCA.

I'm a little miffed that except for Scooby Doo, there are no Cartoon Network shows on the ballot (no Jack, no JL, no E3, not even PPG!). "Rugrats" is on the ballot (again), and I don't think the kids care about what happens in the personal lives of people they admire (except Justin and Britney, maybe). Witness Tom Cruise's winning last year's "Wanna Be" award, even though he is no longer married to Nicole Kidman.
Just a silly thought: I'm wondering if during the course of the KCA ceremony, what if a bunch of die-hard ZIM or SpongeBob fans crashed the gate and "streaked" across the stage (of course, they'd be covered in orange body paint) shouting "Save ZIM! We want more Spongebob!"
You think anyone will be crazy enough to pull it off?

I think the reason none of the Cartoon Cartoons are up for a Kids Choice Award is because the balloting is rigged. I mean, seriously, what are you going to do if your chief competitor win on your awards show? Do you realize how bad that would make Nick look? "Scooby Doo", in my eyes, is different because it is an established series with roots going back to the 70's. It's one thing if your competitor's throwback "classic" (that term is used loosely) wins, but quite another if, say, "The Powerpuff Girls" won. It's like announcing your competion has better programming on live TV.

Heh. Kids Choice Awards. That was a laughable concept when it first came out many years ago. And Rosie O'Donnel is hosting? Forget about her sexual orientation, can anyone name a kid that knows or cares in the slightest who Rosie O'Donnel is? I could understand if that kid from malcom, Frankie Munich or something was hosting, but Rosie O'Donnel? Who's the musical guest? James Brown? Even that pales in sight of the fact that Nickelodeon is a horrible network, none of their shows (except maybe zim) is worthy of winning any awards. And Nick most definitely rigs the ballots and probably has no intention of letting kids chose a single thing.

The Kids Choice Awards are rigged, pure and simple. I remember watching Rugrats go up againest Pokemon for the favorite cartoon, despite Rugrats reruning the same 64 episodes over and over again, and Pokemon being hugely popular at the time. Rugrats still beat them out for it. I haven't watched since that event, just another flaw in the Nick network.

Rosie O'Donnell has been hosting almost all of the KCA's for a long time now. The fact that she is a lesbian should be no reason for her to not host this show. In fact, it's a good thing thing I guess. Kind of a step forward in tolerance, maybe?
And who cares about this awards show anyway? Have they ever nominated anything you people liked?
Jeez, they're just kids.
