no outlaw star tonight, one of the longer tenchi episodes.

And something strange on CN's schedule says Daylight savings time begins, no programming. So i don't know if there's rising sun tonight either.

It's supposedly the Ryo-oki special. Did they eaver show this on Toonami?

What happens in that episode?

I believe it's a special called "The Night Before the Carnival" that's sort of a bridge episode between the two OAV series. I remember Toonami showing it at least once (It's about 45 minutes long). It's sort of a laid back filler episode where Ryo-ohki is multiplied, and wrecks havok on the local carrot population. ;)

There's also a LOT of Ryoko and Aeka scenes, and the ending, with Mihoshi's spaceship, is definitely one of the most hilarious scenes in all Tenchi.

Toonami did show it with every airing of Muyo that I'm aware of, and they would usually air a Powerpuff Girls episode to fill up the 15 min. left(I was lucky once, as they showed my all-time favorite, Speed Demon.:) ).

I was surprised Toonami aired it in its entirety, seeing as how they heavily edited other "long" Tenchi OAV episodes to fit in the 30-min time slot...

Yes, I have seen it. Its episode #7 in the original OVA

Well since the hour between 2AM & 3AM won't 'exist' tomorrow morning (for most of the US), there can't be any programming. I guess that means no Rising Sun.

Thanks for the info! I'm taping Tench Muyo on Saturday nights and I was wondering how they were gonna handle the long episodes. There are only 2 of them: Episode 7 (Ryoko and Ayeka try to woo Tenchi using Earthling tatics) and Episode 13 (Ayeka's family drops by). I'm not sure if the baby episode is long too.

I'm gonna miss Outlaw Star and the Rising Sun tonight...

According to the program guide in my TV, Tenchi is on from 1:00-4:00 tonight.

Well technically Tenchi is from 1 to 3

But keep in mind it's only one hour long, not two hours long. Curse daylight savings time, confusing us like this.
