According to www.spidermanhype.com, Spider-Man's budget was around $155 million! Can you believe it? That's 80 million more than what X-Men got!! I wonder if this means that X-Men 2 will get a huge budget...

It would be armageddon for the producers if the movie flops.

Wow, even as movies go, thats a huge number. It wouldn't surprise me if the movie barley made that much.

I think, after ticket sales, DVD and VHS sales, the movie will probably make a profit. However, if it doesn't, then what does it mean for the sequel, which is essentially already being made?

Ted got a 155 million dollar budget? Dang! He never had a budget that big.
Spider-man WILL make that in a couple of weeks. (Only star wars is it's only competition.

$155,000,000? Jeezum crow! That's a LOT of money, even for a huge movie like this. With any luck, it won't go the way of Waterworld.

Waterworld beat the critics bashing and managed to squeak a profit in the end. I thought it was a fine film.

If it doesn't make a profit then you can forget about a sequel, but I think it will easily make a profit in the theaters alone.

It will make a profit and then some. The dvds, vhs, and tie-ins will make them a ton. I also expect it to do great in the box office.

Unless it's a campfest like B&R I don't see it not making the green. There have been a few moments of camp in the trailers, so my worrymeter is high. My main concern is with Goblin.

I bet we'll see every cent of the budget up on the screen. The trailers have given us some great sequences and it looks like they are pumping alot into this movie. Riami said this would not be a camp movie, and I think we're not gonna get something like that peice of trash Batman & Robin movie...I wish I could forget that accident...
