Hmm, that seems to be most of them minus about 3 or 4 other Marvel controlled shows. Nice to see that Spider-Man '81 is making the cut though.

Is this only gonna be for the US? Cause I dropped Netflix because it had a terrible selection in Canada, but if these Marvel shows also come to Canada, I might just resubscribe.

Do you know if Disney has handled the dvds for any Marvel shows in Canada ? I'd hope that the ones they have the distribution rights to would make it to Netflix up north.

Awesome! I love all of these! And the best part is that I have Netflix to Watch Instantly! Can't wait for tomorrow! YAHOO!!!
Did they state these were going to be available on streaming? I would assume they were because Netflix is shifting their business towards a streaming only service.
I really hope the newer titles like the Marvel Knights stuff is in HD because they aren't available on Blu-Ray in the US.

Well that's great stuff but no Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine and the X-Men is a bummer. Thankfully I have those on DVD.

That's exactly what they are talking about. These series are being made available through streaming, not DVD rental. Most of these series aren't even available on DVD.
I do hope that those that aren't on DVD yet, will be made available on DVD at some point... soon. I still want X-Men Evolution Season 4, and wouldn't mind having the complete Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends on DVD either.

Actually, Spectacular Spider-Man's entire first season is on Netflix Watch Instantly, numbered as the individual DVD's released at first (Attack of the Lizard, etc.), not the season set. Too bad no season 2, though.
OMG, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends?!?! I can't wait till summer!!!

The Marvel Knights, IM:AA and FF:WGH are all HD! And you say their aren't in Blu-ray in US, are they available in Blu-ray elsewhere?

Pleasantly surprised that Black Panther is available in HD/5.1. I already own FF on DVD but I'll gladly watch it again in HD.

I retract my comment on Spectacular Spider-Man (boy I look like a derp when I brought that up on a podcast, fact checking.... it's a good thing to do). I'm surprised bigdan didn't come along to correct me first. :anime:
Though they don't have season 2.
But it seems these Marvel additions are disc only which makes no sense given most of them never got any kind of DVD release in the US.

Bah. Facts are over-rated; they contradict narrative too much. :D

Well, it's only good if you live in the US. The Canadian Netflix, according to their site, has the majority of Marvel TV shows and movies not available.

Hey man all I know is when my buddy and I checked them they were listed as DVD only on Netflix. Granted we didn't click on them after seeing that because that's what the icon said.
Has anybody streamed them themselves yet?

Relax, man, I was just busting your chops because you made that comment about fact checking. I was going by what the Marvel article said, while you were looking at Netflix. Some titles aren't available yet for streaming, but will be released throughout the summer and fall.

I specifically checked Spider-Man Unlimited, Silver Surfer and 90s Hulk because they were supposed to be streaming by now. They were listed as DVD only which was peculiar. Maybe they were marked wrong at the time.

I just got my Netflix subscription. This thing is evil. I've been geeking out in front of the computer all weekend. There is so much value for a 7.99 monthly subscription. To think I've spent the last couple of years creating a massive Dvd library, only to have Netflix make it obsolete. I just watched Batman: Under the Red Hood last night. Best animated Batman thing I've seen. They have direct to Dvd releases like this available for streaming and the latest motion comics from Marvel. Awesome!

It's been sort of surreal but it feels as though every NetFlix subscriber I know has been checking out at least one of these series. Guys I never discuss animation with are recommending stuff like the Black Panther series to me. It's definitely no indication of how successful (or unsuccessful) these streams may have been but it's just cool seeing people I know taking chances and enjoying these shows that they might have ordinarily skipped in any other circumstance.

That is the beauty of Netflix - its a sunk cost. All they are risking is the time )

Netflix has been going through a continuing series of glitches for the last month or so. Some people are not able to see titles that are available, titles disappearing from the queue that are still available, weird stuff like that. I just checked the website, and both Spiderman shows (90s Fox & Unlimited) are there, at least for me.

The ones not working for me right now are Spider-Man(90's) and Spider-Man (60's), but they'll probably be there in a few days. But I'm looking forward to getting back into both X-men and X-men Evolution as well as Avengers: EMH which I've seen very little of.
I also didn't realize that the 90's Iron Man episodes were Marvel Action Hour versions that included The Fantastic Four show along with Stan Lee intros. Very Cool!
Edit: Spider-Man(1994) is working now.

One of the work-a-rounds (originally intended for enabling viewing of tv series with more than 100 episodes-some Netflix apps were not showing episodes past 100), was to close the app on the Wii or blu ray player, use your pc and play an episode for several minutes, then go back to your console/player, and reopen, and the episode should show up in Recently Watched. There you can resume watching.
I just discovered the pre Spidey & Amazing Friends (NBC) syndicated 1981 Spiderman series. I never knew this existed until a few years ago, and so it's great to finally get a look at it. I wonder why NBC never bought reruns to augment S&AF after it finished. The designs and background music are the same, viewers would've thought they were new episodes sans Firestar and Ice Man.

A lot of the narration is missing just like on the Region 2 DVDs. (They're the same masters.)
But at least the Netflix Streaming versions do not have the over-contrasted picture that the Region 2 DVDs do.

Marvel tried to sell the solo Spider-Man cartoon to all of the networks before Amazing Friends. None of them wanted it so that's why Marvel made the concept of Spider-Man with friends. NBC didn't want the solo cartoon to begin; they just didn't believe that the concept was appealing enough to general audiences of children.

AcIn 2012 Marvel plans on adding more shows to Netflix, including season 2 of EMH and Iron Man: AA and Ultimate Spider-Man. (http://marvel.com/news/story/17138/marvel_shows_now_streaming_on_netflix_in_canada) This is pretty cool. Can't wait til they add Iron Man: AA season 2, since it looks pretty good from the previews I saw, and a bunch of cool characters show up.

Like The Transformers & G.I.Joe - Which By Cutting The TV Bumpers Out, Also Cuts A Few Short Scenes Of Animation & Sound That Appeared Within The Same Frames Of Animation As The Very Start & End Of Most TV Bumpers, Which Is Why Only The Original NBC Versions Are Fully Uncut, Which We Can Only Hope Disney Will Try To Find & Get Their Hands On, Like Shout Factory Did At Finding Original Uncut Master Copies Of G.I.Joe & The Transformers.
Unfortunately, Marvel Productions Produced Most Of Their 1982-86 Animated Series In TV Formats Only, Which Made Them Future Un-Pre-Paired In Uncut Formats Without The TV Bumpers Being Included.
A PERFECT EXAMPLE: Education Of A Superhero, From Season 3 1983 - The Web Spin Seen On The Full Screen In Between Different Parts Of Each Story, Which I Think Is Where The Commercials Came In - In This Episode, when Videoman changes back to Francis Byte, he looks in the mirror at home and says he's going to be sick, but we don't quite hear him say the word(SICK), The Screen Just Flashes away too quickly and the FULL SCREEN MOVING WEB SCENE Isn't Complete Either, It Appears A Bit Too Late After It Should Have Started.
ALSO, WHILE I'M HERE: I'm surprised nobody online has commented on what I'm about to say. When Videoman shoots a Police Helicopter by mistake, the Helicopter moves and the Police full out, before Videoman's blast actually touches the Helicopter, MEANING THAT SCENE OF ANIMATION WAS BADLY ANIMATED.
Also The Episode(ALONG CAME SPIDEY) The Writers Of That Episode Ended The Story In A Stupid Way, Obviously due to TV Education Laws, which didn't allow the good guys to really fight with their real hands and fists against THE SHOKER, So Had To Make How They Stopped The Shocker In The End A Rediculous Way, By making out that they had only just realised that the Shocker's Powers come from stuff he is wearing, which is stupid because the Shocker in this episode already made out like he knew Spider-Man & had fighted with him before, which was obviously referring to comic stories coming before this cartoon, meaning Spider-Man knew the whole time how the Shocker's powers work and then the Spider-Friends Un-Realistically make the Shocker's weapons disapear like Magic, which was rediculous.
I Hope Disney Can Find The Original Master Copies & Hopefully Release It In America Durring The New Spider-Man Movie That Is Due Soon.

Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was just added to Netflix Canada today, which really surprised me. Is it on the US service?
This is the last series I figured to surface on a streaming platform since its digital rights are probably caught within the nightmarish power struggle between Marvel and Sony. I wonder if this means that Marvel has managed to secure this one hook line and sinker?
Now the only Spidey shows Netflix Canada doesn't have (aside from Ultimate) are the 60s series and Spectacular.

I could have sworn I'd seen it on Netflix US before but it's a show that's always been online as it has been on services like Crackle and Hulu for years.
