Marvel shows in Canada??

Just wondering, with Disney XD coming to Canada on June 1 and Marvel shows airing exclusively on Teletoon preceding the whole Disney takeover in 2009.... Do you think Disney XD will show Marvel shows in Canada or air boys series and classic Disney cartoons??? Teletoon Retro does a great job airing classic Marvel shows in my opinion.. with Teletoon sticking to the newer shows like Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (which has just been announced for the network). Other shows like Kit Vs. Kat and Johnny Two Shoes air on YTV and Nick Canada.

Astral, the owners of Disney XD Canada, have a 50/50 stake in Teletoon, as well, with Corus.

Considering that Astral Media also owns "Family Channel", so Disney XD will be a sister-channel to Family and Playhouse, so we might see some cross-airing between shows on those three channels.

But considering that Teletoon is owned by both Astral and Corus (Corus also owns YTV, who used to have the rights to the Marvel programming up to August 2009), Corus might object to giving up control of the Canadian licences for the Marvel programs.

I'm curious too. Perhaps the deal is only for so long and we could see older Marvel shows on Disney XD Canada. That's all I really want to see right now are some of the older shows. Still the only Marvel shws on Teletoon right now are The Avengers and Super Hero Squad so maybe they are already in the process of being moved over.

But "Teletoon Retro" is airing the older Marvel shows like Spiderman and Batman and other stuff right now with Teletoon sticking to the newer shows like Avengers and Super Squad.... but good point! Should def be interesting to see what happens!!!!!

Batman is DC/Warner Brothers, not Marvel.

But I was just checking the listings for Teletoon Retro last night and I see that they're only airing the 1967 Spider-Man. (The Hanna-Barberra Fantastic Four was on a year ago, but it looks like Retro has given it up right now, but that doesn't mean that it won't be back on the schedule in the future.)
