Tom and Jerry are my favorites from Hollywood's "Golden Age" of animation, as well as Mickey Mouse and Popeye.

Looney Tunes
Can't seem to get excited about other studios work.
There are plenty of WB shorts to keep one interested. I like to specialize anyway.

Also big Pink Panther fan but that's not quite "Golden Age"

I'd have to say WB is my favorite. I cannot ignore how much that studio's cartoons has shaped my life as an animation fan.

I also like the Walter Lantz Cartunes particularly 1940's Woody Woodpecker, The Beary Family (Warning: you may disagree), and, best of all, the Lantz one-offs which, sadly, there weren't many of (these would include films like "Dig That Dog", "Sh-h-h-h-h", "Broadway Bow-Wows", "Flea for Two", etc.)

In actuality, I like just about all classic cartoons. There isn't one studio that's never made a cartoon that pleased me. Every golden age animation studio is unique in its special way, at least, IMHO.

I can speak for Pietro and I, but I would have to say that the both of us are the "BIGGEST" fans of the earliest Max Fleischer sound "Talkartoons" shorts. We even look out for each other when it comes to tracking down these very rare cartoon classics.

Gotta go with:

Looney Tunes/ Merrie Melodies

Fleischer Talkartoons

Fleischer Popeyes

Universal Swing Symphonies and Musical Miniatures

Universal Woody Woodpeckers (WOODY RULES!!)

Paramount Hueys and Audreys (must be because I grew up on their comics)

UPA's

..... Sorry Walt, your cartoons are all beautiful to look at and all, but as a whole they're just not funny.... ;)

I also agree with Matt, the Lantz one-shots are usually great (Dig That Dog, The Dog That Cried Wolf, The Ostrich Egg and I, Legend of Rockabye Point, etc).

Okay, since everyone already knows I'm a huge Harveytoons fan, here's my other favorite cartoon series:

Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies

Popeye the Sailor (Fleischer or Famous Studios)

MGM's Tom & Jerry, Screwy Squirrel, and George & Junior

All of the 1940s Lantz cartunes (Woody, Andy, and the musicals RULE!!!)

Of course, Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies top my list, but I have really grown fond of the Columbia Fox & Crow shorts and the Columbia cartoons in general. They have moved up on my list of favorite classic cartoons! :D

Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, of course, as well as Out of the Inkwell and/or Inkwell Imps, Flip the Frog, Talkartoons and Betty Boop.
And as long as we're talking about cartoons we're die-hard fans of, I KNOW it's not golden age, but out of a compulsive urge.. NO list of my favorite cartoons would be complete without South Park and The Simpsons. I just have to include those as my favorites. Homer Simpson and Eric Cartman are two of the absolute funniest comic characters in the history of fiction!

I liked most of what I've seen, but will try to pick out a few:

Favorite: WB cartoons from 1942-1953 (though there were good ones before and after that)

I like Popeye and Goofy. Shame on you Cartoon Network for not showing enough Popeye these days!

MGM wasn't as good. They seemed more hit-or-miss. Some were great, while others were not that good.
