I was just wondering if anyone is planning on collecting all 8 of the Justice League toys. There are pictures on the newsboard if you haven't checked yet. I can't wait. Since they are coming out in the summer maybe I'll walk to Subway and lose 200 pounds mwhahaha. I seem to only eat Subway in the summer. I don't have a desire or taste for it. At least it's a kids meal. I'm not sure if I could stomach a full 12 inch sub from Subway right now.

Yep, there is a Subway like virtually right accross the street from where I work so I'm fairly certain that I know where I'm going to be eating a lot at - I would love to get the complete set!
~Now if only I had a Hardee's....

I'll be paying little kid down the street to get it for me. I hate getting those Kid's Pack, why go through the humiliation of some cute Subway chick that looks at you like an idiot if you order that. I learned my lesson at Jack In the Box, man, this chick was practically a model and I had to get a buttload of those DC toys. She never looked at me the same again.

Yea but what happens if you were to start dating her and she stumbles upon your massive collection of DC figures and stuff? Might as well be honest up front - never know you might find that girl that's as big a fan as you are. Sides, I don't have to worry about it, my gf already knows I'm a huge fan-boy :D

Screw the humilation! :D I'm 26 and I learned sometime ago to ignore what people think about me and just be myself...a fun loving semi-young adult with a healthy imagination. That collection is mine! And the healthly subs will definitley help in my pursuit to shrink the size of the Michelin tire that resides around my waist.
LONG LIVE FANBOYS! :D

I think they'll look very nice on my desk in my office. Gotta show off the fact that I'm a HUGE fan of Justice League! Plus, you can't beat Subway's sandwiches! :D

That's right Bird Boy. The Batman figure look's awesome. I wasn't sure I was going to go through and get these figures till I saw that Batman.
Spider is there something at Hardee's?
Humilation? She's working at Subway. I doubt she's going to be looking down at you. I don't want to insult anyone who works at Subway. I've known people who have and they have said just how much fun it really is.
I have 100's of Batman animated figures, 20 or Superman animated figures, DC direct statues, etc etc etc
I've never once been worried that a girl will break up with me or not go out with me. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but really if she breaks up with me because of figures... I probably already got what I wanted anyway.
I guess I am really lucky. I actually found an attractive girl who likes Batman. She has some of the DC direct animated stuff and plenty of WB stuff, cells and all of that. The way I met her was kind of different. I guess I always beleived the sterotypes about female comic readers. (Please girls don't attack me I'm fragile ;) )
Bottomline, be yourself and watch what happens. Don't ever change how you are for anyone. If you have to be something your not, then this person you are trying to impress really isn't worth it.
My girlfriend even buys me all the action figures and crap I want. The only downside now is she has limited me greatly after she saw my complete collection :( In a way it's good because I was buying other action figures. Which I just unloaded on ebay over the last couple of weeks bringing me in more money than I paid for them.

Slipknot - Hardee's has started carrying some of the promo stuff for the upcoming Spidey movie - right now it's just cops, fry boxes and an attenna for your car but next month they'll be busting out the good stuff - mainly the spidey toys.
I have to agree with you about having a girlfriend that understands comics - mine tries to but she has never had any desire to get into them like I have altho she does like the Flash and Batman. She also gets me tons of comic stuff and I force her to watch Justice League on almost every week and Gargoyles almost every nite. One of these days I'll find a way to get her to watch B:TAS with me.

All of the Hardee's around me have been bought out by McDonals and converted to the gold arch. We have 20 McD's around here. There is one on the bad side of town. I don't go over there.
My girlfriend hates Justice League. So getting these figures may be tricky. I hope the Sub-jerks allow you to pick which figure you want. If you can do that then I'll probably just get two meals at once.
Quick question, does anyone know how big these figures are? I don't recall reading that.

At least you have one near you - my closest one is about an hour away and I'm not sure it's worth driving half way to Pittsburgh - altho I might have to go to Ohio in May....
Hopefully Subway will let you pick but they'll probably only get one at a time in or something.

Hopefully nothing I'll want - it looks like I'm going to be spending more than enough money tracking down Spidey stuff and getting the JL:TAS toys from Subway. :D

You know a better way (maybe) to get the Spider-Man figures could be ebay.
I just hope there is a variety of subs in the kids meal. I hope it's not just ham. Anyone got the 4-11 on the kids pack?

i'm sure alot of people already know this, but just for the record...some fast food places get all of the sets in at once, rather than getting weekly shipments of the different toys. i'm guessing that regardless of what subway tells you, the whole justice leauge is probably hanging around in the back room :( i realize that's the rules and all, but man does it pain ya. :p

Yeah when my friend worked at BK, I forget what it was, but he got the entire set before they were supposed to have them. He just took them.

Can someone educate me here ?? I live in the Chicago area, and there are no Jack in the Box franchises here (and I LOVE those tacos !!). What DC toys, and does anyone know how I can get some !!! Pictures, anyone ??

I'm guessing that you won't even have to buy a Kids' Meal to get the toy. I know at places such as BK, McD's, and Wendy's they will let you buy the toys for $1. But I don't really have to worry, as my GF works at store right next door to a Subway, and she gets 20% when she goes to eat there on her lunch break. The bonus is that she really enjoys SW, so she'll be there almost every day she works. :)
And on the OT portion of this topic, my GF is extremely supportive of my, shall we say, obsessions. She even made me Spider-Man and Dog Gir Shrinky Dinks! On our first date, we watched an episode of The Tick (live-action, when it was still on the air) and it was her idea! So, yeah, I lucked out. But I have to agree with Slipknot, be yourself, because eventually the real you is gonna have to come out, so it might as well be from the start.

How did she know you weren't buying them for a younger relative? Were you wearing one of those Green Lantern logo t-shirts at the time? Because I gotta tell ya, that just plain gives away a lot about a person.

That's probably what's going to happen - altho hopefully I'll be able to get a hold of some of the promo stuff like the cups and fry boxes.
I've already told my gf we'll be eating at Subway a lot - she didn't seem to mind but her first question was "What are you collecting this time?" LOL

I thought about this. If you have a g/f and they are giving both toys out at the same time. All you do is tell them which one you want in the meal and that saves a trip.
I'll probably just go there and there will be a 16 or 17 year old girl working and I'll just tell her I want the toys and chat for a second till she gives them to me. It works.
Once I flirted with this girl at Suncoast and she gave me the Buffy cardboard life sized stand up. At Hot Topic this girl thought I was hot and she gave me the promo Static X cd they had.

That's kewl - I know that I've managed to get a Final Fantasy promo item from the local Wal-Mart (the picture on the poster shifts as it turns) and the X-men standup featuring Cyclops and Sabretooth - that and a Britney Spears poster. Sometimes it works and other times they laugh in your face.....er...that's not what I meant....
I'll probably try and do the same by getting two toys in one trip - hoping I can get all 8.

Do you remember the Wal-Mart Batman 2 packs from last fall? Joker vs. Batman, Batman vs. Robin, and Batman and Superman? I got the display they came in. I just took it to the counter were some brainless college girl was working and told her I wanted it instead of a sack and she was like "okay he he"

Nice.....gotta love it when they give you free stuff - I know that I got a DC vs Marvel Promo Comic for free because there was no price on it so the people at K-Mart told me I could have it. It was pretty tough to find too.

i hope you can pick which figure you want. i'll take my wife and my daughter (does this make me old?? :o ) with me. three figures in one shot, hopefully.
and talk about cool girls, my wife never really got into comics or toons, but she really, really tries to. you can see her eyes glaze over half way through an episode, but at least she tries. but she does enjoy batman beyond. my daughter (3 yrs old) is quickly becoming a fan girl. life is good sometimes.
btw, i wear my comic logo t-shirts and if anyone looks at me funny or thinks i'm a dork, i really don't care. that's thier problem.

The only comic shirts I have would be one bat symbol and a Punisher shirt. Usally people don't smile when I wear that shirt. They move to the other side away from me.
I don't plan on ever having kids. It would be cool if you could mold them into liking what you like. Usally kids do want to do what the parents are doing anyway.
I think the toys come out like this...
Superman and Batman week 1
Flash and Wonder Woman week 2
The other three week 3
So week 3 will be the only one with 3 toys. I'll just tell them to give me them all at once. I don't really want to eat a kids meal from Subway.

Great Koogly Moogley! There's A Subway right near by. I'll have to look at those figures. The Pizza Subs rule the world! I also got A Channel 97 (http://www.rrk.com/) bumper sticker for free.
