Time for SOGTURTLE to come home!

I haven't seen him posting or lurking for awhile now. I sure hope GARY COLEMAN day didn't scare him off:D!!!

Where are you hiding, Turtle Tim?

I don't know where he is, I hope he comes back soon.

I heard he got into a tiny bit of trouble when he posted that thread about disapproving the dirty links on Jerry Beck's website. But I was chatting with Jack the other day, and he said he's not in really any trouble and we hope he comes back. I REALLY learn a lot when he and J. Lee start talking! :D

You weren't the only one watching Garfield Goose, Lislebartman!

...at least, I think that's who used to show him...

If I remember correctly, Tooter the Turtle was featured during the 'Tennessee Tuxedo' show. It was either Tooter & Mr. Wizard the Lizard, Klondike Kat or the Go Go Gophers in between Tennessee Tuxedo cartoons...

Anyway, what a mind trip! I haven't seen that in years...!

There's a Tooter Turtle cartoon included on The Underdog Chronicles DVD.

As for Sogturtle, I hope he returns soon as well. :D

Mr Wizard the Lizard lived at the bottom of a tree, and Tooter the Turtle always wanted to be something, like a cowboy or a fighter pilot. Mr. Wizard would grant his wish, and the bulk of the cartoon was Tooter fouling up as he usually did. He would always cry "Help, Mr Wizard, Help!" and Mr. Wizard would return him back to 'reality', so to speak. Mr. Wizard would then tell him, "Be just who you is, and not what you is not, folks who do this, are the happiest lot."

The animation was crude, typical early/mid-60's pseudo-Jay Ward TV animation, but it was enjoyable...

Actually fellers Tooter Turtle and "Mr. Wizard" first turned up even earlier as a part of "King Leonardo and his Short Subjects" (a lion who was king and his skunk prime minister "O.D. Colgne"versus the evil machinations of "Biggy Rat" and the king's half-witted brother "Itchy Brother"). The animation for these and "The Hunter" and "Underdog" and the others mentioned was all done by the same mega-cheap Mexican studio that did "Rocky And Bullwinkle" and "Hoppity Hooper" for Jay Ward. They are thus what could be termed "animated half-brothers" to the Jay Ward toons, but lacked the Bill Scott/Jay Ward stable of writers and kooky voices.
