This is a question that just randomly popped into my head one day (be afraid, very afraid of that)....and so I figured, even if it has no point, why not ask everyone else about it? Well, the question is: what kind of music do you think you would find Bruce, Dick, Tim, Barbara, etc., listening to? Do you think Batman would be partial to classica, heavy metal, rock and roll? Could Dick have this secret love of oldies?

I doubt Batman listens to music.

he probably listens to music to relax (if he even does that). I see him listenting to classical music.
But...as we know in the episode "Torch Song", Bruce and Barbara were at that girls concert...I can't remember if that was rock-ish or not.
But, for Dick & Tim..I imagine Hard Rock.... I mean Dick (in the TNBA universe anyway) has a mullet... :p

Ok, I have to defend Barbara for going to that horrid Cassidy concert in "Torch Song". Maybe she was enibriated or something...
Bruce probably wouldn't listen to music if not for Alfred, who probably puts on classical. Dick, I can see listening to a more angsty-type cd, but then again, in his days as Robin - oldies would have gone over fine. Barbara probably listens to soft-rock, and occasionally louder stuff - but only when Dick's around! :D
:o :o Yikes! :o :o That sounded so dirty! :o :o
 ......You know what I mean!

That's a cool question! I was wondering that when I was watching an episode where this girl drags Bruce to a concert and he sees Barbara there. I can't remember the episode name, but I think Firefly was in it.
Bruce seems really contemporary, and maybe when he's acting normal (normal meaning not brooding and actually feeling semi-happy and good about life), I imagine he listens to classical music. It seems that way - heroes listen to classical music (like Walker, Texas Ranger. He listens to classical music).
Dick...no idea...rock music maybe? 80's music?
Tim...probably heavy metal or rock music.
Barbara...a little pop music, a little rock, and even some 80's music! who doesn't love 80's music? :p

Now that you mention it, it is hard to see Bruce listening to anything....Alfred I could easily see listening to classical and Broadway...my kinda guy! Dick, well, I think it depends. I mean, if he's in a darker mood, then probably heavy metal, hard rock, and rock & roll of certain types. But when he's in a playful or goofy mood I can easily see him rocking out to oldies. Heck, I can see him dancing around in his boxers in his apartment to Sinatra.....but that's me...*cough*.....anyways.....

Bruce listens to whatever Alfred has playing in the background, probably classical. Bruce is too"absorbed" to actually like music, let alone keep up w/ what's happenning in contemporary music. For nostalgia, he might play some of his father's old records.

Yeah, I'd have to agree on that Anarky. And about the only time Batman would listen to music is if he was brushing up on his skills of being able to zone sounds out. Babs and POP music? I doubt it, the girl has way too much class. Sure, I could see her enjoying some POP songs that came along, but when it comes to what she likes, I'd say a pretty wide range, classical, oldies, rock & roll, jazz, etc.

A) BRUCE WAYNE : listens to
1) Frank Sinatra & Elvis .
They were his dads favorites, thus young bruce fixated on his dead parents music.
2) Beatles
Bruce's mom liked the beatles ...it was always a bone of humorous contention between Mr & Mrs Wayne .
Mr prefered Elvis ... Mrs. prefered the Beatles.
3) Classic & Opera
Absorbed by his bieng raised by Alfred.

I read the posts and everybody already mentioned classical. As well as classical, Bruce probably listens to instrumental music too. I can see Barbara listening to Jazz as well as 70's and 80's. Dick probably likes modern music, some dance music. Tim probably likes rap/heavy metal.

I'd say that Alfred listens to classical, like already mentioned. Also, i'd say that Babs would probably listen to pretty much anything. Some of the more tasteful pop, lightercore rock, and softer rap even. I picture her kinda in the middle. Tim probably is more rock, and Dick probably likes anything with some real angst. I would figure that Bruce just listens to whatever his friends are listening to. Unless he needed to brush up on some pop culture references or something.

Bruce -- probably listens to classical (Baroque to Post-Romantic) and blues/jazz instrumentals (electric instruments included)
Alfred -- Classical (Baroque to Post-Romantic) and modern symphonies (no electric instruments)
Tim -- punk rock (Ramones to present day); modern rap; anything he can sneak past Alfred
Dick -- metal and hard core, nice and loud; classic rock (Beatles to Billy Idol) and 1980s stuff
Barbara -- pop; classic rock (Beatles to Billy Idol) and 1980s stuff
