Termite Terrace allowed animators, radio stars such as Jack Benny, and even opera singers to take roles in cartoons. "Animaniacs" had an honest-to-God presidental speechwriter. "The Simpsons" has gone the farthest, with results both wonderful (Meryl Streep, Jackie Mason, Kelsey Grammer) and terrible (INSERT NAME HERE). What voices should be on your favorite cartoons? Be as wild as you want.

Any NPR listeners around here? I'd like to hear Scott Simon on "King of the Hill." He has a wonderful sense of humor, and his voice is the opposite of Arlen. I wonder what voice would be a good villain on "The Powerpuff Girls."

I think Powerpuff Girls already has some of the best Villain voices in animation.

But if I *had* to pick another one for 'em... how about Rodney Dangerfield playing a bad guy whose most forminable quality is his sheer obnoxiousness?

We need more female villians on the PowerPuff Girls...Let say an evil Pop Diva who wants to control the world. Voiced by Britney Spears. =/ uhhhh...or maybe J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez), because she is a great actor. =)

Scott Simon cracks me up.

There are actually a lot of WB stories that pop up over the years - did you hear that WB Cartoon Music story that ran last summer? I taped it - I really enjoyed it.
