Thanks for making this talkback! This brings back memories! I was a big collector of this comic when it came out and I still have the first trade collection for it somewhere. The writing may have not been the best but I loved the artwork for this book especially when they added the more cartoonier inker on to Saviuk's pencils. Saviuk was one of my favorite Spidey artists when I started reading the comics and I was glad to see him here. In a way havinghim on the art helped the book pay more respect to the Spidey comics than the actual cartoon. It wasn't a perfect book but the artwork really saved it so I'd give it a 7/10. I couldn't be the only one here who read this comic!

And how come you gave the book a 1/2 star Medinnus?

I remember picking this up when it first came out, since it was a few months before we got the cartoon in the UK. With regard the art, I never rated Saviuk too highly as an artist, but I liked his work on the first few issues of this title when the art was like that of the mainstream monthlies. I lost interest once editorial imposed the "animated" style on the artwork, which I thought Saviuk seemed to struggle with.

I enjoyed the show a lot, as a comic book geek and a mega Spidey nerd I was hoping to enjoy the series a lot, they appeared to be less entertaining than I expected
As a fan of Saviuk, I was hoping he'd draw the suit as he used to back in the 80s, I got disappointed
