Alrighty, so we'll turn a talkback thread into a speculation thread too! I like! :D
I just saw the extended preview, with a CTU sniper trying to hit the Baseball cap guy, and Bauer telling him not to - so my bet is that this lead is about to go nowhere as well. We might get a small bit more info on Drazen's contingency - all the good it'll do Bauer since Drazen will have to change everything now that Suba (or is it Mishkov?) and Alexis are down.
And I can't wait to see what the Palmer family does with that tape!

I went to www.fox.com and check out their episode synopsis for the episode and it sounds like it'll be a great episode. Plus, a rival from Bauer's past cames up in this episode, an 'overzealous CTU Agent' as fox.com puts it. I can't wait for tonights episode!

:D :D :D
This made up big time for last episode! All the wierd set-ups that we went through last time are covered up and continued very well, providing us not only the usual new questions and answers, but much more powerful character scenes as well.
For starters, the Palmer family scenario just became the highlight of the episode for me. Keith and the Senator are finally on the same level of communication, and it was great to see Palmer's morality shining through all the red tape when he, despite his aide and wife's advice, met with Keith and talked about the consequences of the tough and moral decision he had already known he would make. It was a cataclysmic follow-up when Sherry betrayed Palmer's decisions, and Haysbert's acting here truly showed how utterly horrible he felt. And yet, you can still understand her motives as moral as well, in a different, more personal context.
The Rick scene has also grown in interest - with Rick and Kim finally talking openly about each other and the mess they placed themselves in. And we find out the big reason he's been such a bumhole the last few eps was because of the mess he already was in, which Kim is trying to get him out of. Pretty good stuff I must say!
And the CTU situation was plain awesome as well. First off, Mason. is. great. Unlike his predecessors, he's actually almost 'too' professional, and because of that he's always right. You just gotta love how he shut Teddy up! And of Teddy, its interesting to see some of Bauer's past come back to haunt and heckle him... and even more interesting to note that it came from a District decision. Maybe Green is being a bumhole herself behind the scenes... And is Teddy ever going to get in trouble!
Big Answers:
-Nothing happened between 'Phil' Parslow and Teri!
-Baseballcap Man was supposed to shut down a powergrid at 7:20.
-Palmer has decided to show the tape, before the next hour is up!
Big Questions:
-Actually... I can't think of any new ones! :p

Man, that was a crazy episode! It was obvious that Hanlin was gonna shoot the red baseball cap guy, but I didn't see how it made much difference, 'cause I doubt the guy had any more info than what he had already given Jack. I wonder why they want the power down in a certain grid at a certain time? Maybe a sniper with night-vision goggles?
Lots of answers, as Borg said, but I've got a few questions:
1) How come no one can stop that super soldier guy who's waiting at Bauer's house??? He's taken out like 5 CTU agents now! (And what's going to happen to Teri/Parslow?)
2) What's up with Palmer's wife?? Is he not going to trust her anymore? (I know I wouldn't, she's a loose cannon!)
3) What's Frank going to do when he finds out Dan is dead? If he's got the same kind of rage that Dan did, you know things are gonna get ugly.
4) And finally, how long do you guys think Jack is going to remain in the dark about Kim and Teri?
Can anyone give me a synopsis of the preview for the next episode? (My FOX affiliate doesn't run them, but I'm so curious as to what happens!) Thanks.

The next ep preview showed Jack talking to Mason, apologizing for what he did last midnight (the whole tranquilizer thing); Kim yelling, "Dan's not coming back!" and Frank wielding a gun and yelling for her to explain; and the last assassin in complete control over Bauer's house, asking Teri where Kim is, and when she doesn't reply, he says, "oh well" and points the gun at her!
Hey, when watching the super soldier guy ( :D ) talk and complain to Drazen, did he not sound like Gaines trying to excuse himself? He might have killed 5 agents but if he doesn't get the two women he's gonna meet Gaines and Carrol's fate!
I cannot wait for next ep! Not only are we seeing a few conclusions to some scenarios, but we'll also be seeing Palmer showing off the tape to the press itself! This ought to make him an easy target for not only the assassins, but THEM as well! They didn't show it in the previews, so hopefully it'll be that cool

1.) Someone at Rick's house WILL be dead by the end of the next episode.
2.) The "Man in the Cap" works at the hotel, and the power grid he's going to shut down is the one for the conference room that Palmer is making all press conferences from. Which leads to...
3.) The reason why the power is going to go down, is so the assassin can take the shot at him. But now that Alexis is out of action, who's gonna do it? My guess is that one of the remaining assassins is on Palmer's staff, and he'll take the opportunity when he gets it.
This was a great episode! I guess that Parslow didn't have any "relations" with Teri, but he seems... suspicious to me. It figures that Hanlin was going to shoot the Red Hat guy, if nothing else, than a vendetta against Jack. All in all, a great episode, and next week's looks even better.

I have a suspicsion that Teri will get out of this mess by Bauer being conveninetly driven home at just the time she's about to be shot. Then again, maybe Teri will plow into him and knock him over, or she'll get a last second phone call. But thankfully the 30 second spot leaves alot left out. I think something huge will happen at the press conference that will be a huge shocker, much like last week's shocker ending with Alexis being stabbed.
