I just got back from buying some DVDs and while I was in Suncoast I noticed a Justice League Monopoly game.

It kind of looks like it should be Superfriends Monopoly. That's how they appeared to look to me. Still sweet if you have 34 bucks to waste. One of the squares featured the Joker and Arkham Asylum.

Excellent board game. I have it, but I only played it once. Still, fun geeky stuff.

I bought one for an ex for his birthday...and he loved it. He would though, he owns a comic book shop.

But it's all good, geeky fun. The money, the properties and everything else is great. Before all the WB stores closed, they were selling them for about $20...but they're harder to find now, and probably more expensive.

Yay! JLA Monopoly goes up on the collectors market! :D

'Course, I opened it, which decreases its value from $100 to $.40 :p

Not Superfriends, just 60s JLA.

I've only played mine once or twice, purely for the novelty of buying up superpowers and vehichles. I really enjoyed being Batman for a few hours, tho.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you could sell an unopened box on Ebay for mega bucks...

It makes me wish I had bought one for myself while they were still plentiful...

So this isn't a new thing? Must just be new to Suncoast. Kind of like how the Specturm of the Bat figures were supposed to be only at the WB store till it closed and they showed up at KB's.

**suddenly wonders if the Wonder Twins own stock in Park Place** :D

That would make Gleek the owner of Boardwalk! :D

**shuts up now**

Oh no...they're not "new" by any means. Let me think back here...I was dating the comic dude back in...February of '99 (might be 2000 but I can't remember exactly) and that's when I bought the game. So, yeah...the JLA Monopoly isn't new at all.

I got mine in Christmas of '99, back when the WB Stores were worth going to. The store kinda died off before they even announced the closings. (it was sad to see it go, but at the same time, it was killing it before the store was completely Poketastic)

If it's that old, I probably saw it and forgot about it.

It's probably only getting to mass market places now because at the time it was released it was a WB Store exclusive. It's worth getting, if you're a fan of Monopoly.
