After hearing about Oswald being reintroduced in Epic Mickey, I couldn't help but wonder - if Oswald ever ends up popular enough, would Disney give Oswald a modern redesign (for example, the current designs of Mickey and Co.) and be integrated with said group? Or will he just stay to the sidelines as a retro character?

I personally doubt that Oswald will ever reach super popularity like Mickey, but even then I can't help but wonder how Disney would go about an Oswald redesign, since he looks so much like Mickey.

I wonder the same, I know they've started to sell Oswald stuff in Disney stores (I remember seeing mugs in P.R a few years ago, I don't know why I didn't grab one :crying:)

Isn't Oswald really popular in Japan? I'm pretty sure he's starting to pop up in that park.

I dont think a redesign for Oswald is needed, he's alright the way he is. Besides oswald got a redesign in the past(if your counting what Universal did to Oswald after Walt lost the character). So, no a redesign is not needed.
