What the future holds for Mickey and Oswald

With Disney trying to rebrand Mickey in his original look and personality and Oswald now a Whole year success, Does this mean aside from Mickey's Clubhouse Disney will make new Cartoon for both of them. since Warner Bros is making new Looney tune shorts for theaters.

Maybe. If they do, I would prefer it be in 2D animation. The classic Disney characters do NOT look good in 3D animation.

I don't think Oswald will be in any new shorts, but I'm pretty sure he's going to appear more in merchandising and show up at the parks. Probably even on floats at parades and stuff.

But I'm not a fortune teller I wouldn't be that surprised if they made a retro style cartoon staring Oswald.
