This is the talkback thread for The Incredibles comes to Blu-ray April 12th (http://www.toonzone.net/news/articles/36008/the-incredibles-comes-to-blu-ray-april-12th).

Don't care much for 'Cars', but I know I'll be picking up 'The Incredibles' the day it comes out.

Well it's the moment we've all been waiting for. The moment that Finding Nemo becomes the last Pixar film to still not be on blu-ray. This fall perhaps? Anyway I'm definitely in for this one. Not my favorite Pixar (I know, I know, blasphemy), but a great film nonetheless.

What worries me in the press release for this is the phrase "Much of the existing DVD content will be ported over...", meaning some stuff will likely not be. :crying: I'm getting really sick of Disney leaving stuff off of previous DVD editions when the Blu-Ray versions are released, especially as they should be able to fit due to the extra space available on Blu.

This'll be a day one purchase for me...I love The Incredibles (if not for Up!,it'd be my favorite Pixar film)....
Looks like Finding Nemo is the last Pixar film not on Blu-Ray,but I can wait for it (I like it,but it's not a real favorite of mine)....

Awesome to finally know the exact date. I've held off buying a copy for years because I knew this release was coming out soon. Now hopefully I can afford to fix or buy a new PS3:sweat:

Blargh, it looks like they've nixed a whole bunch of the special features that came with the previous release. Where's the deleted scenes and profiles on all the Incrediverse superheroes?

Regardless, since I don't have a Blu-Ray player, I think I'll be sticking with my two-disk special edition DVD. But even if I did, I still don't think I'd buy this new release. The picture quality of the old disk is fine, IMO, and there's no need for me to spend 45 bucks for a slightly better resolution and only a few new bonus features.

I think you missed this part of the press release:

Includes The Following All-New Bonus Features Plus All The Classic DVD Features

The small list of bonuses is in addition to all the original bonuses, not in place of them.

No, actually I didn't, but I think that was because I was focusing on the (pathetic) list of features for the included DVD disk. In any case, that's a relief - but I still won't be buying this.

A perfect time for Brad Bird after he picked up his Lifetime Achievment Annie last year.

I wonder if the general public remembers much from the movie...

Considering how much the movie made, that it only came out less than 7 years ago, and I still see merchandise for it I don't think it's really a question that people still remember it. Anyway the Blu Ray details sound good to me as I was always going to buy it anyway.
