Okay, so I've known that this show has been around for 4 or 5 years now and I sometimes see it when flipping through the channels but I never stop to actually watch it, it seems like it's stricktly for children and wouldn't appeal to someone older at all. My question to you all would be, what kind of show is this? Is it really meant for children or is it more directed toward everyone kind of like The Garfield Show? I must admit, for being CGI I am kind of liking the way it looks, it reminds me a lot of The Garfield Show and it looks like it could be an interesting watch.

Any input on the show would be greatly appreciated. :)

It is definately a preschool oriented show. Now I have seen it a few times and thought that it was alright as far as shows meant for 4-year-olds go.

I have 3 ranks for shows aimed at younger audiences, regardless of what age bracket it happens to be. The top rank is the kind of show that an adult will watch without the benefit of a kid. Examples include Sesame Street, Yo Gabba Gabba, most of Genndy Tartakovsky's comedies for Cartoon Network, Phineas & Ferb, Timmy Time, and Curious George.

The middle rank is the kind of show an adult will tolerate if a youngling wants to watch it, but isn't something that will be sought out or watched without a youngling present. Examples include The Backyardigans, Handy Manny, or Max & Ruby.

The bottom rank is the show that no sane adult can tolerate watching willingly. Younglings will be abandoned to watch unsupervised if it can be done safely, or the adult will inevitably find something else more interesting to do while enduring the show. Examples include Barney the Dinosaur, and Dora the Explorer and its many variants.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse falls solidly in the middle rank for me. No concessions to the older audiences and almost never a joke aimed at the supervising adults that will sail over the heads of the kids. Not much fun or funny enough to warrant watching without a kid around. On the plus side, it is the best place to find Mickey & co. on TV on a regular basis, and the opening and closing music by They Might Be Giants is a lot of fun (and very sonically addictive).

Well, thanks for the information guys, while I don't plan on being a regular to the show I do plan to try to catch it every now and again just for the sake of seeing Micky and gang on television every now and again, sometimes I feel I just got to check in with the characters that brought me to love animation. Does that sound strange? Ah well, maybe I'll find a creative way to watch it like with my cousins kid or something, that way I don't feel so odd and out of place while doing so, lol.

I know this is for preschoolers but honestly how dumb do they think some 3 year olds are

The way that I see it is that we're lucky and should be glad to have Micky represented on television in a day and age where more people are associating live action teen shows more closely with Disney than they do the classic mouse, seriously, Micky has been lost in the shuffle for years and I'm glad that he's on television in one way or another.

I've recently taped a bunch of these episodes and gave them to my 5 year old niece who has kiddy school during the hours that this show is on and she's fallen in love with this show to the point to where she's becoming a huge fan of the core Disney cast. It's so refreshing to see that she's enjoying classic characters such as Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy instead of falling into what I like to call the Dora The Explorer trap, she's getting exposure to characters that I grew up with when I was a kid and like I've said before, it's refreshing to see that these characters are still on television and in the public eye one way or another. It's just too bad that she can't get into Looney Tunes, I've tried and tried but she can't sit through an episode unfortunately, but I'll take the fact that she loved Mickey and gang, it's a good start.

Agreed, the graphics are cool, but the storyline definitely is not targeted towards an older audience. Its probably worth watching once or twice just to get a feel for it.
