Ain't It Cool News (http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/) is running a story today about the development of Cartoon Network's potential Duck Dodgers series. Originally conceived as a theatrical feature, the series is currently in the development stages, which names such as Paul Dini attached to the project. Head over to AICN and read "Will Duck Dodgers Be Thawed By Cartoon Network?" (http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=11887).
Meanwhile, Toon Zone has asked Joe Alaskey and Bob Bergen (the modern voices of Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, respectively) about their involvement in this new series. Both said that they haven't been contacted about performing in Duck Dodgers, but are aware of it's development. "We voice actors are the last ones to know anything anyway", said Joe.
Bob Bergen revealed that he was invloved in the project when it was still being developed as a feature: "A few years ago, I did a 5 minute Duck Dodgers presentation for WB voicing Porky, Daffy and Marvin. At the time, their goal was to make it a feature. Recently, the same producers have turned their idea into a series. I understand they are still planning on going forward with the series, but are just waiting the official green light from the powers that be."
