View Full Version : Why has CN banned "The Gary Coleman Show" from primetime?

CN must think kids can't handle the show, because the only time they ever air it is in the middle of the night. Certainly, there's nothing anywhere near as offensive in it as their is in something like "Cow and Chicken" or "Ed, Edd and Eddy." We need to find out from Laurie Goldberg what the deal is behind this outrage.

I read somewhere that the execs at CN thought that Gary was offensive to African-American angels, stereotyping them and making it look like they all had to do good deeds to get into heaven. GROW UP CN!!!

I can't remember where I read that, but I know that it was somewhere on the internet so it must be true.

I remember seeing Gary Coleman as a guest star on a late night showing of the New Scooby Doo movies back in January! :p

Actually, I have it on good authority (the Internet) that CN found out that Gary Coleman is like Baby Herman-a 43 year old playing a child and is afraid the truth will come out. So they try to minimize the potential heat by only playing the show in the wee hours, thereby doing great injustice to the finest comic mind since Jerry Lewis.

I think Cartoon Network should cancel the Powerpuff Girls and make new episodes of Gary Coleman as the newest Cartoon Cartoon.

I made most of my comments on how inappropriate "The Gary Coleman Show" is in the original announcement thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?postid=224274#post224274), but I did want to add that Cartoon Network knows what's best for everyone and they have always made the right decision.

I hope Cartoon Network keeps this "cartoon" off the air. There are some things impressionable children are not meant to see.

You know, maybe there are certain episodes that Cartoon Network should keep off the air, or at the very least be banned from primetime, but there's no reason to remove every single one of them, unless CN wants to say Gary himself is what they think people are offended by (or Hornswagle, I guess).

Of course, I still think Gary should be airing on NBC Saturday mornings and couldn't believe they took the show off in favor of "Saved By The Bell" in the first place.

:D:D:D

Maybe, have Gary Coleman and Mister T have a cartoon together. Or make an appearance together in a 1-800-COLLECT commercial.

The sign of the Apocalypse, and NOT an April Fool's joke: Gordon "ALF" Schumway appearing in a 10-10-220 commercial with Mike Pizza. I kid you not!

Of course, I can see someone at Adult Swim or Comedy Central thinking of Gary C and Mr T appearing with Kid Rock and whoever Midget is appearing.

"1-800-Call-ATT? What you talkin' 'bout, Mr. T?"
"Nuthin' SUCKA! I pity the fool that don't use 1-800- Collect!"

Hmm... not a bad idea...
