Good. If they had cut the ending "Blue" off of The Real Folk Blues, Part 2 even now, I would have been annoyed. You don't eff with Cowboy Bebop. Tho it is rather terrible that I don't think they have even a shortened version of the ending of any of the other episodes anymore.. In my opinion you should always have The Real Folk Blues to close out an episode, even if you don't have the episode previews.

EDIT: I like how a bumper saying "If you've seen this episode of Family Guy before you have our permission to go watch Conan" aired right before Ghost in the Shell tonight (a Saturday to boot) How does that make any sense?

That's because they just air the same bumps all week, including Saturdays. They don't update the bumps until Sunday.

I think the last time a show scored more than 700k on Saturdays was the original FMA series in 2005, but I'm not entirely sure. It's definitely been a while, though.

A few Futurama eps in 2007 got close or cracked 700K. Bleach in '09 also got close when the Arrancar arc kicked off but never quite did it.

Saturdays #1 that week beat #1 on Halloween Sunday and by 4,000 at that.

Mr. Smith will not be leaving Saturday, that's for sure.

Too bad the drop off from 11:30 AD to Bleach is so big.

Well 10:30PM finally returns to the top 3 but those numbers are pretty sad.

Saturday's #1 and #2 beat Sunday's #2 and #3 this week.

Ratings highlights from last week:

Adult Swim
Across the second week of November 2010, Adult Swim ranked #1 for total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24, earning respectable growth compared to the same week in 2009. Average adults 18-34 delivery (474,000) increased by 3%, adults 18-24 delivery (263,000) increased by 14%, men 18-34 delivery (287,000) increased by 4%, and men 18-24 delivery (170,000) increased by 16%.

Adult Swim telecasts—including Family Guy (http://tvbythenumbers.com/family-guy-fox), ROBOT CHICKEN and American Dad (http://tvbythenumbers.com/american-dad-fox)—accounted for 11 of the Top 50 telecasts of the week on all basic cable among adults 18-34. Adult Swim programs accounted for 10 of the top 50 telecasts among men 18-34.

Adult Swim programming, particularly American Dad (http://tvbythenumbers.com/american-dad-fox) (Monday-Friday, 1 a.m.), scored significant delivery growth vs. the same 2009 time period: adults 18-34 delivery (443,000) grew by 27%, men 18-34 delivery (280,000) grew by 13% and adults 18-49 delivery (618,000) grew by 16%. Bleach #179:
Inose: Man, that felt great!
Aida: Sure did. And the best part of it is, the other squads can't turn up their noses at Squad Three ever again.
Kano: Yeah, with Captain Amagai at the helm, Squad Three is in good hands.
Inose: You know it! Ain't that right, Captain?
Amagai: I'm relieved! Or maybe that's the liquor talking!

Kekkaishi #25:
Tokine: I don't wanna hang out with you during the day.
Yoshimori: SHE TOTALLY DISSED ME!!
Tokine: You're annoying and I hate you. Hmph!
Yoshimori: Oh nooo...

Ratings highlights from last week:

All this despite Sunday's recent stumbling. I've said it before but I think Sunday's numbers are due more to football than anything else. And probably all cable networks are having the same issues on Sundays in the fall since Sunday Night Football went from ESPN to NBC. Thus why AS is still able to keep it's #1 spot.

Also, this is great new for American Dad fans. My hope is that, since it's recent expansion of reruns on TBS and AS, it's about to experience the same spike in interest that Futurama and Family Guy had after their cancellations (thanks mostly to reruns on AS) as people realize how good it actually is (and that it's not just a Family Guy clone), and that it might help out AD on Fox and make them think twice about moving it around their schedule and eventually doing away with it.

Anybody watch Jeopardy College Championship yesterday and see the Adult Swim category?

All the answers were very simple. They gave a description of an Adult Swim series or showed a video clip and all the contestant had to do was name the show.

They got ATHF, Boondocks, Venture Bros., and Squidbillies.
None of them knew what Childrens Hospital was. Ha!

Ratings highlights from last week:

As expected, Sunday's troubles mean nothing to weekdays success and weekdays remains strong. It must be football. Sunday Night Football moving from cable to network television does seem like a plausible reason for the lower Sunday numbers and in turn nothing to be concerned about in the long run.

King of the Hill and American Dad only air Sundays at 1AM and 1:30AM respectively so I'm going to guess it was other airings that did well and they listed the times wrong. Or maybe those are actually some of the Sunday numbers.

It'll be great when Adult Swim can air American Dad on a regular weekday strip. It is theorized that the syndication deal prevents that but TBS plays it on a weekday strip so maybe Adult Swim is just waiting until they have more space on weekdays (ie, the 9PM expansion which I'm still questioning).

Yeah, I saw that, which is kind of funny since it was the first time I watched Jeopardy in years. I found it curious that the clue for Childrens Hospital was the only one that didn't have a clip of the show going while the answer was read, though I don't think that would've helped the contestants any, they didn't seem to have any idea what Alex was talking about.
