Last time: A brief return to the inanity of the early episodes with a junior high unrequited love story.
Actually there is more to life than appeasing the opposite sex. You're just boy-crazy.

Previously on Kekkaishi: Some girl has the hots for Gen and he rejects her. But he has a reasons.
Today: Oh great, more love.
Because as we all know, the sole purpose of women is to please men and make babies.

You see that is what happens to filler characters. Characters that don't belong like the Mod Soul trio.

They're not ancient rivals. The old geezers in their families just bicker and argue 24/7 and there's just a wall between their yards.
She doesn't hate you. She doesn't LIKE you, but she doesn't hate you.
"Girls are annoying."
"Bet you're gay."
"No I'm not."
Way to question his sexual orientation out of the blue like that.
Fantastic. The last bishounen we got looked like a child molester. Who knows what this one is like.

Wow, I am finding this episode incredibly hard to care about.
So let me get this straight: Yoshimori likes Tokine, Tokine likes no one, Gen is asexual, Yuri likes Yoshimori, the bishonen prince has some sort of interest in Tokine, and all the other girls are shallow boy-crazy idiots. Hoozah.

Is that really Johnny Yong Bosch? Johnny Yong Bosch as a prince? Let's hope this one doesn't try to take over the world in a plot to save the world.

I guess the Prince wasn't JYB or Liam O'Brian. It sounded like Sam Riegal when he ran out screaming. Weird, cause he sounded like LO'B earlier.

Well this was a suprise, this episode had fillerish moments to it, but we found out quite a bit about the main antagonists.

Well, at first, I thought that I was watching a continuation of last week, until Tokine showed some grit! I was actually pretty impressed that she was actually cold to someone other than Yoshi.
And now we haev a name to go with the villians. And the old folks look serious.

I didn't think that this episode was that great. It was nice that we got some information on the villains at last and Yoshimori's constant freaking out over Tokine was kind of funny. But it also pretty much cemented the idea that I'm just never going to find Tokine a likable character. She clearly doesn't care for anyone, not even showing a bit of concern for a boy being possessed by a monster, and I really don't understand why Yoshimori even likes her to begin with. She was nicer as a little kid based on the flashbacks we've seen, but in the present moment, she's pretty cold towards just about everyone. Even when she tries to be concerned or worried about someone else, like she did when the boy woke up, it comes off as forced and fake to me. At least she was told again about how weak she is, which I think is true compared to Yoshimori. Hopefully, next week's episode will be more interesting.

Yeah she is as cold as Lust. It is funny how both Vic and Laura's characters are similar to the other show on AS counterparts.

She had to act cold otherwise how was she going to get the ayakashi to talk.

I realize that, but I was mostly referring to not even showing a bit of concern for the boy until she destroyed the ayakashi, which still felt forced and not really genuine, not just acting indifferent when she realized that it was an ayakashi. That's what bothered me the most. Besides, it wasn't like she was that much better prior to that event with being pretty rude to Yoshimori with saying that she doesn't want to hang out with him during the day. Outside of some flashbacks to when they were little, Tokine has never been likable to me, but this episode just made me feel that she'll always be that cold/indifferent towards just about everyone.
Yeah she is as cold as Lust. It is funny how both Vic and Laura's characters are similar to the other show on AS counterparts.
I find it funnier that some of the characters Vic voices seem to have some kind of family or brother issue involved in their backstory.

Yeah she is as cold as Lust.
I was thinking Maka myself, unfortunately for Spirit.
Kimiya was voiced by Sam Regal, as I figured out by the familiar Taniguchi/Minoru scream at the end.
And I couldn't help but smile at that FMA reference which was also in the Japanese version. Ed's berserk button with Tamaki's tendency to go into a Corner of Woe, poor Yoshi!

This episode was good. It was nice to get some information on the enemy, Yoshi going crazy over Tokine was a little funny but, why? Why does Yoshi like Tokine she treats him like dirt, not even wanting to be seen in daylight with Yoshi, I certainly have had crushes on girls older then me but, if a 16-year-old girl whom I've known since we were young children kept insulting me I wouldn't want to be around her. I guess it's one of those, "I love you for what you did for me things" or a "our relationship cements through meaness" things like with siblings. It's nice to know they all are getting together better though.
The prince kid being controlled by a Ayakashi and Tokine admitting out right she could care less if the child died came off as cool but, cold. She's looking all bad and stuff and intimidating the Ayakashi, she must've cared about whether the prince died or else she would've smashed the glass, and it is her job to protect Karasumori and the people. I do wish she would have aimed more for the Ayakashi then the boy's head.
Tokine killing the Ayakashi without mercy was nice she seems like the kind of person that doesn't hold back. I defiantly like Tokine even more for apologizing to the Prince and showing concern. Gen and Tokine also seem to be closer which is bad for Yoshi since I see a lot of punishing for him in the future. I simply did not like the way Yoshi was going crazy over Tokine at the talking scene he should have been more worried about the future of Karasumori then getting taller to impress Tokine.
The new ending, I don't know what to make of it, it was cute I guess

When Yoshimori and Gen bicker, it actually isn't as annoying as when the old people fight. Maybe its because the discussions are more interesting.
